Change of plan could be on the cards. After chatting last night I'm seriously thinking of building a road legal track day car but I'm not sure what the deal is when it comes to the MOT. 1. Would there be a problem if there's no interior so no door cards, seat belts, roof lining, abc pillars, i.e just buckets, dash and harnesses? 2. Are Perspex windows an issue? 3. My car comes with an airbag I've read somewhere I need to has this in for the MOT is that right? 4. Is there anything else I need to consider? I'm thinking a track day car will be more fun then a show car and give me more things to

I read somewhere that you can raise the engine by using hockey pocs, I'm gonna have to look at doing this at some point. Is this the best way and is it safe?

This might sound a daft question but is there a way to fit plastic side mouldings? I took my mouldings off a while ago and tried to fit them again today and there not having it at all, none of the clips were broken so there the same ones used to hold them there origanally, I tried using a rubber mallet but didn't want to hit them to hard in case I broke them and I pushed like hell to get them on but not even one clipped in and I ain't that much of a tart. Well I didn't think so lol.

New cars, they all look that same to me lol!! Yeah will be good to get a few of us together monthly. Be good to try and get a few photos of all the VR's together as well but that could be a bit if a mare to get the them all together

That's what I thought about the rad too, I've noticed anyone who's got them has cut the slam panel and moved the rad. I might phone/email a few more companies and see what they say. And have a look at the weekend how hard it is to move the rad

Thanks for the replies. What that bloke was on about I don't know lol. That was an interesting read but Garaths car is running jenvey throttle bodies from what I gather and I want bike throttle bodies as there cheaper and I'm almost sure there smaller but I could be wrong on that. Reading that has made me realise there gonna need more then just a gasket to build a manifold, they'll need the whole car really

I know there's not much power gain from these but I had a pug years ago on carbs and after watching a vid on YouTube with a throttle bodied vr I'm hooked and miss that sound. I'm seriously thinking of fitting bike throttle bodies to my VR and can find hardly any info on this. I've already spoken to someone and they've said I'm to send them a gasket and they'll make up a manifold from that. I know nothing on bike carbs/throttle bodies. What I'm concerned is will they fit, we all know how tight it is in a mk3. I don't want to get everything made up sent here and it doesn't fit. Thanks for any he

I still watch Top Gear but its not the best car show out there as someone's already said. Fast & Loud is far better and think Fifth Gear is better for that sort of thing.

I had a Polo GTI with red stitching (so the owner told me when I bought it) on my old VR I liked it I thought it brought the interior more up to date. I found some pics Sorry there not the best quality but it gives you an idea

I had a 97 with rust everywhere and mean everywhere, I don't think it had a panel without any rust but I've got another 97 and it's fine, it did have a couple of spots but nothing to bad.
