hi guys i bought a auto golf vr6 engine and it came with the front engine mount bracket but apparantly the auto bracket is different from the manual one but they look the same also part number the same apart from one has a letter at the end? -
thanks guys think ill risk a standard clutch fork as not paying 119 euros £95.00 plus postage as would probably get stung on import charge

Hi guys I have almost finished rebuilding my engine and bought some schimmel performance 263 cams but does the car need to be remapped or can this still run ok ??

mate i just rebuilt my bottom end and had a lip ur talking about,the reason thats there is because thats the top of the piston and piston ring doesent go up that far i honed my bores but dont worry as long as the bores aint worn alot its fine but put new rings in

Hi there I'm rebuilding the bottom end on my engine and noticed the oil pump shaft that the top timing chain sprocket connects to on the bottom end has play in and out ?is this normal? I have put a new oil pump and rod and pick up pipe. Does this mean the shaft is worn or is this normal thanks

hi i have the earlier brake set up of 280mm discs and i know the later ones are 288mm discs i know the calipers and hoses are different but are the hubs the same? can i just buy 288mm caliper and carriers and bolt on? thankyou for looking

hi has anyone here actually fitted a V5 gearbox? if so what was the benifit? was the speedo accurate and did you loose too much top end? PS im sure this topic has come up but cant find these answers i need thanks guys

hi there i seen a set of kent cams for sale with a 264 lift never really heard of anyone using kent cams on a VR, always been schrick or TT cams are kent cams ok for the VR6 thank you

hello i have removed the pistons replaced the piston rings and shells but pistons got mixed up and not sure what order they went back into, does it matter?

hi there im putting my crankshaft back in today and have reaised that the crankshaft main caps hav numbers on them ? i took them off in order but on my one i have 2 number 7? i know one in the middle is for the thrust bearings Also do the pistons have to go back into the same bore as they come out if im chaning the piston rings?
