Hello mate , Got to say i like the look of your motor , didn't know they didnt put the vr lump in the 4dr over in the states . Some nice mods in the future i see are coming , why the standalone may I ask ? Also what is this Ford V6 coildpack mod you have done and was it easy to install and any benefits apart from reliability . Looking forward to seeing how this car turns out :-) Best Of luck mate .

Hello mate , Was wondering if it would be possible to get a set of these sent the Holland as i would like tto take my car to the tracks and would feel much better for them long curves having these there to stop my motor from losing oil . If that is possible can I also pay via paypal as a bank transfer would take around 1 - 1.5 weeks for overseas transaction. Cheers William

Thank you for your reply . Where i work at schiphol the mechanics said it could damage the engine . however they work on diesel motors from all our equiptment here so they werent too sure . but if it just loses some power i can live with that otherwise im going to have to get another cheaper car to use as my daily :-( thanks again . Hey guys , Got a quick question , my car was remapped on 98 fuel when i had the supercharger fitted , as fuel prices here in holland on 98 are kinda silly is it possible to run the car on 95 fuel aslong as im driving normaly ect. Will this cause engine damage or anything else in the long run as i use the car daily . Cheers William

Is my car an OBD1/OBD2 Hybrid?!
v6horse replied to Meeerrrk's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
An ISV is on obd1 models , it regulates the idle , idle stablizer valve if im not mistaken . anyways its a silver/grey valve that is connected off the right side of the throttle body , if you dont have 1 of these then your car is an obd2 model as it most likely is being an 96 model . -

So today i headed up to the vr6specialist here in holland for tuning my new supercharged motor , firstly the ecu during tuning was acting weird by going into limp home mode and cutting the advanced timing back to 0 . Then we had the imobilizer keep jumping in while driving and to top it off the isv kept adjusting itself even after the nice guy at vr6s kept telling it not to . anyways after about 3 hours of turning we got the car running sweet and making just under 260 whp . Now during the weekend i had changed over my cylinder head dude to the valves not being in the best condition and sprin

Took your advice and retorqued the bolts .. finished the engine and v2 charger installation today and runs like a dream . Cheers William

That i understand . I was doing everything by the manual but fucked up with the torque wrench and set it to 80 instead of 60 nm of torque . Sobwould you recomend just tightnng them up another 90 deg instead of the 2 x 90 deg that is said in the guid as im not starting from 60nm but 80 nm of torque . Simple mistake but has it cost me a new set of bults and gasket or can i salvage this is my question ?
-
Hi guys , I have torqued my head down but after doing the first step with 40 nm instead of doing 60 nm the torque wrench was set to 80 nm , I know after you do the 60nm your meant to turn the bold 90 deg further and then another 90 . Would you think i should only turn the bolts another 90 deg or leave them on 80 nm of torque . Thanks

Are you sure i could use my oem ac belt as I will have just 1 day to fit the charger at my work and then the car need to be off the ramp , Also wondering , what size compression gasket will i need to use to get my compression down to 8.5:1 , is it 1.5 mm or 2 mm ? cheers guys

From what I have been told the Block , piston and head are all the same from obd1 and obd2 , its just the ecu and throttle body that is different . internals are all the same.
-
I cannot answer your first on second question but I have been told by the vr6specialist here in holland that running a short runner without a turbo or charger will lower your torque , however they didnt mention anything about horspower . Hope that helps.
-
Hey guys . I should hopefully be getting a charger however the one Im getting comes with the belt that is for a non-ac car , Does anyone know what belt to use with an ac engine ? cheers in advance PS: did a search and didnt find anything so if there is a page im sorry for posting .

Both obd1 and obd2 had the coilpack , only way to tell if I'm not mistaken is the check the throttle body . There is a sticky somewhere thart shows the difference .

Fuse has been checked , pump was taken out and connected to the battery . defo the pump .
