  1. had a similar experience with my vr...couldnt workit out....then found out that it was the fan speed resistor under the dash in the passenger footwell, had corroded and was melting the plastic around the connectors...cheap fix...just chucking ideas at the situation......
  2. check your tyre pressures,or it may need tracking or camber setting up..
  3. have changed the sensors and even swapped the wires under the rear seat to see if the fault code changes, but still comes up rear right abs problem...could it poss be the abs controller/ecu unit..
  4. right, here goes.recently purchased a 95 vr in storm grey, the handbrake light kept coming on whilst driving, bought vag com, checked it out and it kepy saying rear abs speed sensor problem, found it odd as the abs light didnt come on..later found that somebody had cut the led for the abs and had bent the airbag one to sit between the two holes thus giving it an appearence it was working.well, soldered the led back on and thus, couldnt get the light to go out.vag comed it again and still showed rear abs problem.took rear brakes apart, and no abs rings were fitted,i fitted new ones and sensors, cleared

  9. a good auto electrician can work out the in feed and out feed etc,had the same problem on my old corrado, still left the flashing lights in etc, just immobiliser didnt work after, only cost about thirty quid...worth it though..
  10. that means youhave some form of alarm system fitted, possibly with an immobiliser...thatll be why the motors not turning over, call yourself an auto electrician to bypass it or fit another system, can be more hassle than they are worth sometimes..
  11. sounds like immobiliser to me mate..especially as you cannoy unlock or lock the doors on the fob...does the car have a seperate immobiliser in the dash,or flashing light etc? could be the fob if there is no light flashing....

  14. help!!!! i have a 95 vr. my abs light is on and also the handbrake light was intermittent, but is now on permanently, have vag com ed it and it is showing rear o/s sensor problem and abs pump problem, have not addressed these problems as yet, gonna try the sensor one by cleaning it first,if not, check the wiring ,then renew if that doesnt cure it...but... the abs pump, reading on here could be the abs ecu. does anybody know that if i fitted a known working abs unit and ecu as a complete setup from a 97/98 vr if it will work or not,or will the ecu work with mine? just got it as a freebie,so thought i

  16. i have put a solid front engine mount on my vr...smooth as silk,no engine movement, billet aero aluminium, got it from e bay, theres somebody making them on there.£43.00 plus p and p.ran one on my corrado as well, really helps with putting the power on the road, personal preference but i have had no problems at all..
  17. had the same problem on my old corrado,i just fitted an oil pressure gauge, then removed the buzzer, its a common fault on the corrados....its behind the rev counter clock..had the car for over three years like that,no problems at all,and the oil light still works as normal..
