  3. hi,ive got a 1987 mk2 jetta vr6 fully wide tracked with serious front suspension issues a im after some info on what sort of suspension i need. i think that a mk2 set up would be best so it fits nice onto the car, but would they bolt up onto the mk 3 hubs. cheers ben

  5. i have a 1987 mk2 jetta with 2.8vr in it i didnt build the car myself just picking up from where the previous owners skills stopped, im not to clued up either just willing to learn. its got a very large pace products rad in at the moment that decided today it would disintegrate on me so im after a radiator for it. does a mk 3 rad pop straight in there or is there another option ? cheers ben

  7. mate could you tell me what clocks and loom you are using i have a 1987 jetta with the same engine but its got no clocks and have been told i need a later doner car for the loom. cheers ben

The engine in question is in my mk 2 jetta not had the car to long and didnt do the conversion. in the mornings when i start up it might rev right up then go very low so i reverse out of the drive stop to put in first then it will nearly stall then run very lumpy with blue smoke But the other day it just sat at a very high rpm and wouldnt settle. Today after a run up and down the m3 it was hunting flat out also on over run it does pop a little. I know for sure that i need to replace the ht leads as the former keeper has wrapped the leads with eletrical tape down near the plugs. sorry for the
