I still have mine for sale mate http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/index.php?/topic/42217-Mk3-Power-Steering-Pipes Make an offer on them if you want mate

If they have compression and they are getting a spark then I would be checking that the injector wiring looks ok and that those 3 injectors are getting power then swap injector 1 with injector 2 and and see what one doesnt fire then. Thats what I had to do and it turned out 3 injectors where goosed

It is pretty stiff mate but they do just pull apart mines is pretty solid too

I would do a compression test on each cylinder and see what results your getting with that mate then that might confirm or deny your thoughts on the rings before going to all the trouble of head off or engine out

Its about 7 ft-lbs mate but I just judged it watching how the rubber gasket was compressed

Upto you mate but I doubt it will make any difference either way

battery & alternator negative cables
GordonC replied to sharki's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Both the alternator wires go to the starter mate the thin blue wire goes to the plug beside the starter and the wire with the ring terminals goes to the positive on the starter -
Water pump/pump pulley acting up.
GordonC replied to SwagenDubz's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
The three bolts could be loose that hold the water pump pulley on, I would check them as I cant really see it being the pump itself VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 ! -
Well I got the buggy all up and running ready to go so thought I would take it up to crail to see what it could do. Heres a picture of it on the trailer ready to go The panels are made out of 0.9mm aluminium sheet so they weigh about as much as a ryvita. Took it on its first run down the strip and it didnt end very well It spun both wheels in first and second then when it eventually went to grip in second it snapped the driveshaft clean in half and spun me out. I was running R888s on the back aswell and I didnt even use the nitrous lol. So now I need to find another driveshaft or get a stro

I'm heading to Crail raceway on the 22nd for Ultimate Scottish Street Car and I'm taking my vr6 buggy with nitrous to show up some expensive machinery I would say its one of the best events of the year at crail so well worth the drive mate VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

Radiator for the mk2? Wanna loose the header tank...
GordonC replied to jaks14's topic in Engine Tuning
Yeah mate I'm getting one for my buggy to keep things tidy, you can either use fiat bravo or a bmw one, personally I'm going for a bmw one for a 328 as I know that was made to cool a big engine unlike the fiat ones VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 ! -
So this is well overdue for an update, everyone probably thinks I've gave up on it but theres no way that would happen Anyway heres the story so far, The whole buggy got stripped to its naked bare chassis which took a good few weeks. Then on a nice sunny day I brought it out onto the drive and it got painted in 2 coats of smooth black hammerite After that I stripped down the gearbox and welded the diff solid as its better than £700 for an lsd since its a dedicated drag car I wanted to fit the golf alloys on the front but the hubs were 4 stud so I welded up the bolt holes, drilled and re

vr6 intermediate timing sprocket HELP
GordonC replied to kerrly's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Just wrap the old snapped timing chain round the crank and intermediate sprockets and join the ends together with a cable tie. Then put a socket and breaker bar on the crank pulley bolt and crack it off that way. The cable tie is just to hold the chain together in place all the force is on the solid lenght of chain and sprocket teeth so it should work that way mate. At least thats what I would do. VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 ! -
I reckon it will be fine mate it took me some amount of force and a huge breaker bar to bend a valve turning the engine over with a cam out of line so if there wasnt any noticable resistance then I would put money on it that they havnt touched VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

Only seen them once. They were over £100 IIRC so I dont think they were in production very long VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

Have you got a fuel pressure switch mate as I would never run another nos setup without one. I blew an engine in 3 seconds because the fuel pressure dipped causing it to run far to lean then bang it went VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

Dont think it makes much difference mate I didnt check when I done mine I just put them in and that was that. VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !
