Yeah it was good on full polys on a track but the roads are really bad up here and they just made it so much worse VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

I would deffinitly advise using polybushes they are much easier and quicker to put in and then you know they wont ever need done again. They dont make that much of a difference to the car other than tighted up the back end but its not majorly noticable. The front however is a different story. I personally wouldnt fit polys to the front of a road going car again as it was a bit to harsh for everyday use I think. VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

As above mate your best bet is to just get another bit of pipe slightly bigger and drill out whats left in the manifold then chap the new pipe in lightly with a hammer but it will need to be a nice snug fit VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

bought a schrick manifold from someone on here - the flap is seized solid!
GordonC replied to paceo's topic in General Chat
To be fair mate if you've had it for a year then it could easily have seized in that time. Is there no way to try and unstick it somehow ? VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 ! -
As above mate does sound like valve stem seals, such small cheap things to buy but a huge job to do them. I take it you only get the smoke when you lift off the throttle ? VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

Header tank cap ? Pressure in pipes ?
GordonC replied to Jakeyb's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Excesive pressure in the coolant system and slight misfire could be pointing towards the headgasket on its way out mate. Check to see if your loosing any coolant or that VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 ! -

Number 4 is the exciter wire for the starter motor mate VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 ! -
Unless your 2.8 is OBD2 then its the same wiring loom and you dont need to change it VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

All 2.9 corrados were OBD1 mate they stopped production of the corrado when they switched to OBD2 VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

You can tell by the throttle body mate obd1 has a square block on the top where the coolant pipes connect to, obd2 has a circle on the top above the coolant pipes. Heres a link with pictures of them http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/7902-is-my-vr6-an-obd1-or-obd2/ VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

I take it you mean it was tested in 2013. Would be really dodgy if it said 2014 lol but to be honest mate I've never really heard of anyone getting very far with disputing dodgy mots as it is hard to prove it was like that when tested but if the sills are as bad as they sound then its worth a shot VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

I had Yokohama Parada Spec 2s on my vr and I loved them. A lot of people said they would never go near them and that they were absolutly rubbish but I couldnt fault them to be honest VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

The cables are the standard ones out my mk3 golf but I had to mess about reversing the mechanism in the shifter so the cables came out the other way. It was ok for testing but it doesnt really feel right and is a nightmare to select gears with. I'm getting a new set of custom cables made so that they are long enough to just use a standard shifter box and loop round the engine if you get what I mean. The company doing the custom cables is CableTec if your needing a set made mate VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

I've heard of some people puting some rope into the cylinder through the spark plug hole and rotating the engine slightly to pack it all tight. Never tried it myself it was easy enough to just take the head off VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

My fastest time was 13.7 but I was getting a lot of wheelspin and the gear linkage mechanism that I made wasnt very good so I couldnt change gears very quick. That will all be sorted for this year so I'm hopeing to get into the 12s maybe even slightly less. I'm not sure on the weight I can only guess at a couple of hundred kgs but before the summer I am getting it weighed and rolling roaded so I know the exact power to weight VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

The ecu has probably been put in behind the glovebox. The diagnostics port should be below the heater control panel above the ashtray behind a rectangle blanking plate. It usualy just slides to the right mate if that helps any VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

No I've still got them VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

If your taking the engine out I would do the chains anyway mate and for 280-300bhp you would be looking at supercharging it so keep the cams standard for that VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !

Whats the mileage on the engine because the first thing on my list would be to do the timing chains and tensioners mate VR6 Loonibuggy Santa Pod 2014 !
