  1. Hi all Is anyone attending this years Stonor Park? I don't think I will have the car finished and MOT'ed by then but it would be good to meet some people. Ryan
  2. I used to run a solid front engine mount on my mk2 with the 4 branch manifold. If the 6 branch manifold is fitted do any companies produce a solid front engine mount for the vr6?
  3. cheers for that. I will wait till it gets through its mot before I do anything. All I am going to weld on the wishbones is along the join between the upper and lower parts. I did it to my mk1 along with polybushing to make the front end stiffer. That along with the upper and lower strut braces I have made should stiffen the front end up nicely. Ryan
  4. Hi all I have two questions regarding the above. I am thinking about fitting a decat pipe and raceland manifold but since my car is going in for it's mot soon will it require the cat? Its a K plate 1992 car. Also I plan on welding and polybushing my front wishbones and just happen to have a set of mk3 2l 8v golf gti ones lying about. Would these fit? Cheers ryan
  5. I plan on using my own megasquirt ECU anyway so all I would need is the loom, inlet manifold and throttle body along with the lambda sensor. what is the differences between my original manifold and throttle body? is mines a larger diameter? Also I plan to use a decat pipe once the car has been through its MOT but will it make any noticeable difference? Ryan
  6. its not going to be full on out and out but I have stripped the interior removing all the soundproofing and anything else that was not required. I have fitted the carpet back in and door cards as I still want it to be a bit comfortable:-) Its going along the lines of interior: 1 Bucket seat & harness Carbon fibre door cards but made to original profile rear strut brace smaller steering wheel fire extingusher kill switch Brakes braided hoses all round mk4 rear brakes uprated brake fluid x drilled and grooved discs red stuff pads Suspension seam welded wishbones welded up rear beam poly bush
  7. Hi all I am new to the forum and to owning a vr6 but I picked this up for a couple of hundred pounds. Its going to be my weekend toy/track car. Its got lots of history and a few mods already. The guy that had it previously fitted 312mm brakes, 17" alloys , coilovers and a stainless steel exhaust. It did have an electrical problem behind the dash so I have had to rewire it but hopefully it will work.
  8. So whats required to do the obd 2 conversion...Is it the inlet manifold, throttle body, wiring loom and ecu? I take it that it's from a later model vr6 as I have the early 2.9 vr6 engine from what I can gather. I do fancy going turbocharged but it is the hassle of stripping down the engine to change the pistons etc. Ryan
  9. Hi all I am new here and to owning a corrado vr6 and have a few questions. I plan to use my car for track days mainly and at the weekends so I plan to do a few mods to the engine. I was hoping someone can give me some advice. The mods I plan are as follows: Megasquirt ecu Motorbike throttle bodies Upgraded cams( newman or cat?) 6 branch manifold decat pipe(I have heard you lose power doing this though and it is required for an mot? I also plan to fit a 3.6 FD or swap the box completely for a v5 box with lightened flywheel. Is there anything there that won't work or has anyone any advice Thanks
