After 3 years knowing there was a big hole in my life after parting with the last vr6, I've gone and bought myself a project to keep me busy, she needs a lot of work, purely as she was used and abused.

Here;
-
Driving home and noticed my exhaust has collapsed, not sure whether it's due to the actual back box or the heat protector pictures as follows
-
a1 glass or something it set me back £114, the only thing that makes it worse is that the MOT has literally just ran out, and my street its being parked on is being resurfaced, i might somehow have to get it to yours because we're struggling the get the bonnet off, as the right side bolt has been rounded off...
-
right, ive got a friend coming round, we're going to take the bonnet off and try and flatten it, windscreen was replaced today, i know full well im not gettin the creases and dents out but what are the chances of getting it to lock, and would if pass an mot without a bonnet hold and a dinted bonnet?
-
i've rang them they dont have a mk3 golf, is there anywhere on the thats accessible where i could tie down the bonnet rather than the grill near the front splitter?
-
ben i might just take that bonnet off you im hour and half away from you, are the bonnets easy to remove?
-
bump, i know this is an immediate bump but its urgent.
-
my bonnet release failed and the damage is this what is the best way to get around this, should i try flatten it with wood and hammer or? my windscreen is all cracked but im getting that fixed this afternoon i cant have anyone helping themselves to my car, its held down with some 2 tonne toerope but this isnt good enough, i have a replacement bonnet release, just need the bonnet locked until i can get either a new one or it properly pushed out. thanks
-
link doesnt work mate
-
yeah its in two pieces, when i feed it through the cable seems to go into a bottomless pit haha and doesnt come through the other side
-
tried feeding the cable release through to the lever and im having no luck, i was wondering whether feeding a thin cable like a cycle brake cable through from the inside and tie it to the release cable and pull it through, is this method possible, because i've tied the bonnet down with cable and im sick of sticking to speed limits fearing the bonnet with parachute at me, thanks

my vr is 1993 which is under obd1 but i actually have an obd2 port so im not sure what previous owners have done, i'll haveta measure them i guess
