  1. Badged grill De-badged Hope this helps, not face on pics but you can get a rough idea.
  2. I am going to get mine booked in on the rollers! My mates S3 was RR'd at 206bhp and in a straight line we were neck and neck, twisties he was all over me but straight line performance in a VR6 is impressive, well in mine it is thus me wanting me to get mine RR'd! Saying twisties, my 205 GTI 1.9 is just amazing on corners, it will just not budge. My VR has become a lot better since fitting Toyo T1R-S tyres.
  3. I was shocked when a good friend of mine with an 04 plate Audi S3 went against me.......There was nothing in it, identical performance!
  4. I must add regarding MK3 Golf's now..... VR to a MK3 GTI or GTI 16v is a different car, well as in performance. My wife has an 8v GTI Golf and it is seriously poor regarding performance. A 16v is not that much better.....VR6 is so much better, only thing is.....They love fuel! I have been told a UK Scoob is the same as in MPG as a VR6?!?!
  5. That is impressive Russ.....Top vids. I must get mine on the rollers. I have seen 151mph on the GPS, 160mph speedo reading (Autobahn testings!) But it is how quick it gets there. Reading on here with some of the members with chargers or a Turbo on their VR, well that must be an experience!
  6. Now that is interesting mate, I would have thought a VR should have been able to take the Type R? I am sure something has been done to my VR as on full throttle in the wet she started spinning the tyres at 80mph and this is with Toyo's on. A full s/s exhaust, de-cat and direct feed modified airbox cant produce that many horses.....or can it?!?!
  7. Reading many reviews etc on the net since I have had my OBDII VR6 and some have put down stuff like 'Running costs are stupidly high for the performance' and other reviews alike. I have owned many performance cars over the past 20 years and I think the performance and running costs are good. My performance is very very good on my VR.....She will pull happily to 150mph (Tried it once on a long private road!) Saying this I have never been in another VR and I am sure mine is very fast. She has a sull s/s exhaust, de-cat, modified airbox (direct feed) and run only on Shell V-Power. I average 22m
  8. There is a big pot hole on the road behind where I live. You can always say you were coming to visit me and I will confirm this if need be. As you are in Watford it is believable as Milton Keynes is only 35-40 miles away. There is a TPS in MK. Milton Keynes TPS Tel. 01908 625000 Tavistock St, Bletchley, Milton Keynes, MK2 2PG
  9. My VR is my daily so she will be used throughout winter. It came with coilovers that I have played around with as in lowering her but I was thinking when the weather gets bad I will raise the car as much as I can with these coilovers....Dont know how high it will go though!
  10. Due to the fact I do not have a PCV as the previous owner must have removed it I tried to clear up all the messy pipe around the crankcase breather etc. One trouble.....I have been left with this little pipe that fits just behind the throttle body and then runs down to the inner passenger wing. But on the way is this T piece. It makes a hiss when the car is running as has a lot of suction.....What does it do, does it need to be left open or shall I block it off by putting a small screw in there......Is my car ok to drive like this as dont want to do any damage. Here is the T piece part....You
  11. Must be a sad day mate. In your almost 8 years of being on the club will you be coming back on to help the likes of me who know, well, nothing (Puts head down in shame!) Paul.
  12. Thats the one......Thank you!! Well mine looks like a bit of a bodge, but it was like this when I bought my car.
  13. Where is this non return valve for the cam breather?
