  2. hi all got a 95 vr6 obd1 i belive i fitted a set of plugs a few weeks ago and removed and cleaned throttle body out now its got to power between 1000 n 2000rpm like a missfire quite dangerous as pulling out on to islands etc it clears after 2k i have vag .com with no codes also think it may need a throttle body alignment but can only find guides for drive by wires without isvs but mine has a isv please help?
  3. i have a similar problem at low revs it missfires for about 500rpm and then clears itself ive changed plugs checked the coil pack and leads visually look fine checked the maf looks ok and chacked coolant sensor im stuck too m8 lol
  4. could it be the diff in gearbox how can i tell also when idiling and move steering a little from left to right it vibrates also
  5. yes all the time im tending now to put more revs on all the time to try eliminate it as it feels horrible vibration
  6. hi rcf well its deffo when pulling away can feel it a little on tickover but as i pull away the whole dash vibrates cant feel via pedals or steering if i reverse of my drive and pull away it vibrates like mad but if i rev it up as i pull away its less vibration thats why i thought a clutch problem the coilovers are fairly new hope that helps abit better

  8. hi all got a 95 vr6 obd1 had it for 3 weeks now but getting a real bad vibration when pulling away the whole car shakes really bad i was thinking either clutch problem or engine mount or has the previous owner fitted solid mounts i dont have a clue what to do or check i noticed when standing looking at the engine the passenger side looks lower i took out the battery tray to see if anything visible but nothing any help please its bugging the hell out of me
  9. ive read there pointless but was on the car when i got it i dont know whether to keep it on or take it off or is there a removal guide to put it back to standard
  10. im now on the look out for a coil pack and ht leads maybe even a crank sensor wink wink
  11. checked these things today maf unplugged n drove spluttered like crap so mafs ok replaced the spark plugs and sprayed water over coil pack last night no arcing as i could see so im at a loose end maybe a internal coil issue if not maybe a sensor anymore suggestions welcome thanks so far from everybody

  13. cool im going to take the battery out and have a look around as i have a bad vibration on tickover and when pulling off could this be a mounting problem and i did use carb cleaner on the isv and tb also if i disconnect the maf plug nothing changes?
  14. i have a obd1 vr6 as i open the bonnet and look at the engine the right hand side of the engine sits lower like the engines on a slant is this normal ? or have i got a problem also cleaned the isv and throttle body out for high ideling and now from 1000rpm to 3000rpm the engine feels like a missfire no power but goes after 3000rpm ? all help appreciated

  16. hi mate put my hids in yesterday much better visually i got the slim ballast kit but bulbs etc all fit straight in h1 kit i put in hope that helps let me know how u get on bud cheers

  18. my clocks in my vr6 are playing up needle wise will any vr6 ones fit or gti ones ? is it just plug n play
  19. well im going to put hid h1s in there but there pretty poor lol
