Didn't realise that when cold coolant should be at min and when warm max... hence it spitting a little out... doh!

Yeah it was just worrying me a little how the coolant level rose so wondered if it was air locked... It it normal to get a bit of water out the overflow when piping hot? not enough to notice without rubbing your hand on it to find damp

fitted my new cap n bottle... noticed a little water neat overflow after a long drive. also noticed water level has gone from max to well over when hot... cracked lid off and loads of pressure and water coming out of overflow... is this normal? also smells very warm as daft as it sounds

Was it a cheapo aftermarket maf?

No worries. went to gsf and turns out I have the wrong coolant bottle... so new bottle and lid I'm hoping problem solved :-)

Changed my thermostat housing... stuck 2 ltrs of g 12 in... now I have coolant coming out the overflow.. It sits at 70 when driving and won't go above 90 when idle/traffic... heaters warm and thermostat opening etc.. any ideas please? Cheers :-)
