Yeah there's a link to 1500 maps for your ecu that I have put in the remapping pages that should help. The modern FSI ones are super detailed, about 11000 maps on them!
  2. What a strange thing to do! I have visions of Alan Partridge's "you people!" there! If there is something you want to know, why not post up a question about it? If posts are over two years old does that mean they were covered a long time ago then or if you can't find an answer, post up your question! As for the R32 OC don't bother! I have tried a dozen times to join that forum but the coding just doesn't work! Gave up in the end!
  3. That's for a 24V/R32 - is the op's a 12V or 24V? 12V: http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/SPA-Turbo-Short-intake-manifold-VR6-OBDI-TIN2800-/181348194031?hash=item2a3931d6ef You can also get a VR6 24V specific one similar to the one pictured but with the throttle body edge straight instead of pointing downwards somewhere on the net.
  4. As I have not had many numbers regarding these rods I was talking to the supplier to see if they do any major companies and to get the interest up - my supplier also supply Skunk2 for those that have heard of them and many of the other major companies as well apprently so these rods are well proven. Come on guys, let's get the numbers up!
  5. If this is okay with the mods I am offering this; Conditions: Must be a VR6 OC member Need to drop me an e-mail saying; "VRT Powaaaaah" in homage to the sacked Clarkson and show me you are a member If so I will do the following; Borg-Warner EFR 6758 - shop price £999 (£949) B-W EFR 7670 T3 wastegated & bov - shop price £1150 (£1100) B-W EFR 8374 T3 Single scroll wg & bov - shop price £1275 (£1225) B-W EFR 8374 T4 Twin scroll external wg - shop price £1275 (£1225) If you are a member and use the key word stated, I will knock £50 off and throw in free postage if you are in the U
  6. P.S. DW do in-tank for the mk4's which are the ones we use, the 65V as they are called but as far as I am aware not for the mk3 based cars.
  7. Similar to the IE one - Mike Deatsch told me they would be out first quarter in 2015 last year. These; https://www.facebook.com/112891011413/photos/pcb.10152931098596414/10152931098426414/?type=1&theater
  8. They are sexy understated mk2's! Think I would personally use the quad lamp grille myself but fine car!
  9. People are still in the air as to whether or not they want the rods so I have no definite numbers yet. The supplier should be sending me one of their H beams to look at and show you on here to drum up more interest sometime soon so I'll be taking some more detailed pics of them when they arrive. Pistons wise - I think they are high comp and as such I would not be using them as I mainly do FI - I think if I do a custom piston order for FI VR6's, with enough numbers, I am going to do them from scratch or based on a popular forged brand in 4032 if anyone has an old forged piston spare?
  10. P.S. On the oem maps - 10790 is 2 seconds and 10791 is 51 seconds if that relates to what your car is doing.
  11. Yeah have it scanned by someone if you don't know what you are doing. I would think it is running a diagnostic through error path routines and as such, tripping it up. On the R32 and V6 4motion they should be located in the same place. I've highlighted the areas in red on the hex dump and in the binary except MIL Codeword is just off the screen after the other two EPC lamp codes; 10790/10791/10792 for diagnostics but it could be other bits that are triggering it.
  12. Just ordered a Single mass kit through my Darkside account for a customers mk3 VRT, they are good and you can always add the SRE plate at a later date for when the boost is increased.
  13. Bent rods are not really anything to do with boost pressure or flow, it's about the tune mainly. If you have spot on flame propagation, timing and fuelling etc on a 2bar blueprinted engine, there will be a lot less shearing and twisting forces in play during the cycle than a 1 bar set-up with some knocking due to an incorrect burn cycle! It's why a set of ARP rod bolts and a good tune can reach high power goals - 700hp+. Piston rings go but again, not really to do with power or boost. If someone drives the engine cold a lot, it could wear the bore out of the cylinder more than someone that m
  14. There are two correction factor maps for the MAF based on combustion chamber pressure and cam timing with throttle angle/rpm axis - just wondering if there was a touch of hydro-locking and the ecu has been unable to properly compensate?
  15. Bit of info about the manifold in here if you are interested in learning more? http://www.volkspage.net/technik/ssp/ssp/SSP_195.pdf
  16. I've -put the full definition file on Nef for those that want everything on a VR6 Turbo - I think it is a read only and it is already available on the net in some DAMOS packs people have been sharing. http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=7904.0title= ***Note - I think this is the file that gave the 10,000rpm limit so be careful! ***
  17. God I'm good to you lot aren't I! Get the free winOLS, get this file I put up here and you have a full VR6 turbo file to learn on! Convert it from German to English and it is by far and away the quickest way to teach yourself about your ecu! http://nefariousmotorsports.com/forum/index.php?topic=7904.0title=

  19. Why are you using Megasquirt? The OEM ecu is far better and there are full def free files available on the net - some tuners seem to be using them.
  20. We're doing the EFR 7670 at the moment, no need to buy recirc or wastegate and roughly the same price as the GTR's. If you are looking for one and say you are from the OC I will knock you some money off.
  21. Custom Black Ops spec 750cc's - fastest on the market. We're in discussions about making these direct fit for the 12V VRT's too at the moment as they need wiring and fitment mods for the 12v. They do the Blue Knights now to for the 12V but I think those are ME7 mk4's the US got. Under the car is usually a good place for fuel pumps, keeps the noise down and gives them a bit of air flow - the Deatschwerks surge tank/fuel pump combo is out soon and will be testing them out too!
  22. P.S. I forgot to mention these are mainly for NA set-ups, FI obviously has forced air anyway and have to take into account far higher cfm's. With the TFSI it needed to have ultimate flow - i.e. orifice dimensions needed to be wide enough to flow x (i.e. 30lbs/min 600+cfm for example) (the width of the runners in laymans terms and ultimate flow) but the down side is loss of low end torque due to a slower gas speed. Whereas the VR/R32 ones have long runners as they were for NA, undersquare torque monsters, so needed quicker air up top so needed a way to speed up air there - these are the two m
  23. There was a good turbo diesel white paper I studied a while back that had a lot of info, here's some more; http://www.google.com/patents/US20050188940 http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Helmholtz_resonance I've never looked at a Schrick one but it looks similar to my old MR2 turbo and the newer TFSI ones that splits the air side ways in the runner unlike the VR 24V engines that has the runner length compensations but uses same size orifices down the entire runners. It's pretty straight forward gas dynamics really but there are different ways to go about it - you can just use a short runner b
  24. May have been posted up many times before but I always enjoy watching them - Turboimpressions utterly bonkers 1000hp front wheel drive VRT. 200+mph: Low boost! (Probably about 2bar to him!)
  25. Okay - a bit more info for budding VR/R32 tuners. Here's a sneak peak at the sheer scale of upgrades on the newer ME7.1.1 ecu's compared with the older Motronic 3.8 for the 12V motors regarding cam timing controls (i.e. VVT). These are correct addresses etc for certain ecu revisions too if you feel lazy ;-) These are not all of them, there are other areas the ecu references but it gives you an idea on the differences between the main functions. M3.8 12V Cam controls: ME7.1.1. BFH R32 Cam controls Exhaust (NWA) Inlet cam (NWE) I have also been doing a BDE NA and Turbo master
