My current vr. It's determined to bankrupt me I think. Every time I fix a fault it finds a new one to torment me with.

Been searching through different forums and the aux water pump seems to be the noise I'm hearing. However once started the noise comes and goes. Just wondering the pump is giving up perhaps.

Ok so sorted the Hose and bled the system. Now have a new issue. It's hard to explain but there is a humming noise coming from the dash. Tried to get it on video. Baffling me. Video. http://i1209.photobucket.com/albums/cc395/tabx80/B4644106-A8BA-430B-A250-746189D4DFA0-8926-000008C916337971.mp4 Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Managed to cure one problem and find another yesterday. Old top hose to heater I think I am lucky I noticed before it went completely. New one on and all sorted. Then discovered this. . Looks like my rear lights need sealing. And a new central locking pump to find.

Lol. It's a shame. My vr was out in the car park. Saying that it would've prob lowered the tone of the event a bit. I was only popping in on my way to somewhere else. We're some lovely motors there tho so ended up staying for a bit and taking loads of pictures. The Bentley with the custom interior was my favourite.

Haha. I was talking to some guys on vvoc. They were sandwiched in between them. Some nice ones though. It really needed some more vws there.

I thought as much. Just making sure.

I'd say get everything done. I'm sure tony will agree the bottom guides weren't any better than the top. Also you will still be a bit paranoid about the bottom failing. Just my opinion though.

I'm beginning to think my car wants to die. Every problem solved is followed by a couple of new ones. I lost some coolant yesterday. Tracked down the source of the leak I think. The hose from the heater that goes into the block just above the heat shield. Looks to be leaking where it's clamped. It also has a bulge but that looks like it should be there. Is it a new hose needed or can the hose clamps become weak over time and not hold the hose tight enough. And my brand new outer cv boot has a hole in it. Dumped grease everywhere again. This is the second one with a tear. Is there anything th

Ahh right. I did see that. Think I probably took a pic. Was a good show. Way too many minis though.

Nice black vr with club sticker in the windscreen. Was early on so I think most people were wandering around having a look at the other cars. Did take a quick pic though.

Mine def has a personality more than a few quirks. Abs light pops up randomly once a week for one journey. No more no less. There are quite a few squeaks and rattles to track down but the worst one is every journey has to involve something breaking or falling off. Have not managed to complete any journey without ten minutes spent at the side of the road swearing at it

Might have to look into the led flashers. The lights have grown on me so I think they will stay for now. Makes it look a bit fresher I think. Green is a bit of a pain to do anything with. Not a huge amount goes with it. Trying to decide if I should paint the calipers when doing the brakes but what colour.

Shocks done and new cv boot on the front seeing as the guy in a certain national tyre place being a bit useless. As a reward i fitted these today. original lights were Think I might prefer the originals apart from the tango indicators. See how I feel after a week or so I reckon.

How old are you, and how long have you had your VR6/VR6's?

32. On my third vr. Got my first one ten years ago. Lasted about three months as the supposed full engine rebuild with all receipts had been bodged in a big way. Had my second one two years ago. Stupidly sold it as I wanted an estate. Finally saw sense and got another one to spend all the money I don't have on.
