ah ok ill maybe leave it over night. she is punishing me for leaving her parked up for a week i think, exhaust sounds like its blowing an she has developed a squeek!
will ten minutes with battery disconnected reset any fault codes? only reason is my laptop has died so i cant hook up to my VCDS to clear codes an after being away for a week its having a moment an i think a reset would sort it out as it has done before bloody moody car!!
i had my car run up on faul diagnostics when i was getting funny issues with maf and it was giving readings but occasionaly it was giving reading outside of the paramaters which is what made the car run so badly so could still be the maf but wiring is always a possibilty just hard to diagnose
i got one in the boot of my car that i took off when i put my port polished one on. was working fine when i removed me. send me a pm if your interested
u might find a local electrical repair place might run over it with some solder and a multimeter just incase you have a dry joing or a broken track. its kind of a needle in a haystack thing though. i do alot of circuit board work for my job but without a very accurate circuit diagram its very hard to check continuity and resistances accurately so alot of the time we just re flow as much as possible an check the obvious bits
nice one, just read through your build thread so i could relate to the time. shame bout the nos not working but then there is plenty of the year left for more goes
Dam not a nice situation. Just a total guess but I wonder if u could get to any live and neutral wire underneath by jacking it up. Off starter or something that is directly connected to the battery then clamp onto there??
True although a larger area the otherwise of the throttle body may encourage a faster less turbulent flow of air during wot. Tbh I'm completely guessing an I doubt there would be much difference. But if it's free to do then I'd probably give it a try just to say I have. An I just happen to know a welding man that can :-)
Hey just thought id post this up its an interesting read. like i said im not sure what effects this would have. One day when i have a spare one laying about i might give it a try. PS sorry its a link to another forum http://www.dubnetworks.net/showthread.php?t=1254
Panic moment over, after sticking my fingers in the hole an feeling something. I pulled out a rubber gromet that happens to fit perfectly in the hole. Now I feel a bit of a pleb :-)
Slightly different angle to this but.I did once Google a mod on standard 2.8 mani where the. Back was cut off an a plate added to widen the inlet an also smooth it. A larger plate was the re welded on the back. If I find the link again I'll post it up.
Had a quick check around the sills as got mot very soon. Both sill jack points on the front have been bent over but that all seems pretty solid still. Only thing I noticed is a thumb size hole on the flatter area an inch or so further in from the sills. Am I right in thinking this is superficial as its not structural?
