Well after a bit of time off the road, I put the golf in for not this morning, its the first not I have done on this car, so wasn't sure what to expect, I changed bushed and bearing ball joints a while back so wasn't to worried, BUT, to my dismay I received that dreasded call........it failed, 4 failures, emissions was horrific!!!, a small bit off rot in the sill, and a small hole on lower chassis leg and a bulging brake hose :@ But hey ho, retest booked for Monday, busy weekend for me!!!!

Got mot Friday, but I got no reverse lights, I've checked bulbs, fuses, all I can think it can be is the switch on top of the selector tower. Are these common faults??

Has anyone else had issues with none genuine lambda sensors, I replaced mine in august last yr and its been throw in up the same fault since u done it, which is the heater start up, I'm told this shouldn't effect the drive, but its annoying cause I know its there

Ok bit of a issue, I disconnect the uj on the lower steerin column, few taps with a hammer, now I've come to reconnect and it's all out of line! It looks like the black tube has gone bk inside itself!! How do I get it bk out

Hi chaps, friend of mine is talkin about putting some Lucas engine oil stabiliser stuff in his car, anyone ever used it and wat results! Also what's the best oil to use in my vr, I'm usin basic Vw stuff atm

Lowering spring reccomendations

I had a look at the brakes today, and i don't think the original bolts are going to be long enough, so I think I'll have to look round for some longer ones -
Yea I think that's wat they are:-) I was quite lucky when I got my car the previous owner rebuilt the head and fitted new timing chains and a clutch 20k before I bought it

Mine sits just below the centre on the water and the oil tends to get a bit hotter on a run 95° I think but round town 88 - 90 I think.
