Got a supercharged vr6 that i put a new engine in a couple of weeks ago, ran sweet as a nut for a week then started being sluggish when hitting boost and not pulling as it should and now sometimes also when u hit 5000 revs its like its hitting the limiter and bouncing back, changed fuel and fuel filter but still no joy anyone had this before? -
Hi guys got a supercharged vr running around 260bhp at the moment and am about to do an engine swap and also got new lightened flywheel, atm im sure its still the standard clutch and flywheel thats in it and was going to order a stage 2 clutch from larkspeed but they said itl need to be stage 3 because stage 2 wont do , surely the stage 2 would be better than standard? Any reccomendations on what your running would be great cheers.

il have a look at that aswell but nothing was touched from when it was ok to the way it is now.
-

Its obd2 mate. Only had it on launch and it came up with nothing

Hi guys once again on about my cr not idling, 97 supercharged vr6 idles fine untill engine is at 90 degrees then cuts out when coming to a stop , changed the plugs and the maf sensor anyone ideas?
-
Al sure as hell give it a try mate thanks! Not too sure theres many around my area so will prob just have to get one ordered.
-
Its an obd2 mate, shal need to be checked soon its so annoying!
-
Does it usually bring up codes for the MAF? Not had a chance to get a code reader on it yet but will be in the next few days as its driving me mad
-
Supercharged vr now has decided not to idle after slowing down to a stop, only does it when its right upto temperature its fine at cold or upto just before the 90 mark , any ideas?
-
Thanks for all the replys guys the ones that r in it just now are the ngk platinum ones only ones i could get quickly to get me back up to running the full 6 but sometimes when coming to a stop at a junction it doesnt like to idle and cuts out think it could be plug related aswell? Used to do it alot just before it went down to 5 with the same plugs in before
-
Anyone got any ideas which are the best plugs to use on my supercharged vr? Had a few plugs deciding to go since christmas just wondering the best make , cheers
-
got a z-engineering charger but need an intake pipe from maf to throttle body with the breather pipe to crankcase as mine just has a pipe coming from crankcase making a bit of a mess with oil , anyone any ideas where i could get one?
-
Supercharged vr6 possible high crankcase pressure

I thought this but theres quite a bit of oil whcich would mean draining it back in alot :/ -
Had a problem twice with the dipstick popping out causing an awful mess and replaced the seal as it was almost flat and didnt seal very good , now its sealing i have a breather from the rockercover at the o/s which is going to nothing as the intake system is differnt due to supercharger and keeps leaking oil , any ideas around this or a system to filter it back to engine?
-
Yea thats what i thought, thats the only code i'm getting apart from my abs which i knew about but it just turns over and wont start
-
The exact code i got was this - 00750 fault lamp open circuit or short to earth. It was a check i done on launch as i dont have vw diagnostic equipment it came up immobiliser faulted then that code
-
Yea thats a good point the code is for a fault lamp open circuit or short to earth but as far as i can see there is no fault lamp? Where is the immobiliser box located?
-
No it wont start what happened was the alternator went and one of the bolts rounded getting it off it was an allen bolt to suit the new tensioner bracket as mine is supercharged , anyway the bolt rounded and my mate told me he'd help and welded a socket into it to get it off but he didnt decide to tell me that when welding disconnect the battery and ecu and now the car wont start and is giving me an immobiliser code but mastertech in my work thinks itl have spiked the ecu what do you think?
-
Yea thats the number i have united motorsport. Not sure if the gti one is the same
-
Looks like i have a blown ecu but been told from my local tuning garage it doesnt matter if i get the exact same bosch ecu same part no the lot it only matters about the processor chip number if they arent the same inside the car still wont start, anyone else done an ecu swap if so how did it go ie does it need to be programmed in and keys matched etc?

Got a 96 obd2 vr not starting and now got the code up of : immobiliser 00750 fault lamp open circuit or short to earth, anyone had this and what was the fix if you have thanks
