Stunning car he has showed me a few snaps of it on FB , hope my Corrado gets just as much love dude
-
Yes mate the s4 has a little more power though as standard this has been mapped to around 280 bhp though. Might get my mate to check the map out though see what he can do without pushing it too much
-
It pretty nippy sticks to the road very nicely , no more struggling to get in and out of my car now either which is why I got it . I will be sticking around anyway
-
It's not a VR but this is my new car . Audi A6 avant 2.7 biturbo Quattro hope it's still welcome here lol I like the 19s but might swap for some 18s cause I think 19" wheels feel a little big on the car Exhaust needs to be done I don't like the DIY look pipes When I got it it had a nice cone filter providing the turbos with nice hot engine air lol . Original box now put back on god knows why the cone one was put on when the air box has a piper cross panel filter in Has the summer/winter package on it too

running rich and stalling
Radosteve replied to littlelordfonts's topic in Engine Maintenance and Problems
Mine was doing this about a month after getting the car and got worse the longer I had it . I changed loads of things to fix it and some seemed to improve it but not solve the issue . My mechanic had a nose and was baffled until he noticed that 3 of my sensors plugs where plugged in the wrong places . Been fine since then . He thinks that when my engine was refurbished by previous owner that they may have mixed them up . You had yours long ? -

Passenger side calliper mine is faulty I think , drivers side has loads left on my new pads I put on a few months ago but passenger side already needs changing . So I think the calliper is faulty , last owner looks like he changed the drivers side one -

Thankyou , the guy breaks cars then thinks he is a specialist and knows everything #idiot lol -
Am I right in saying that not all Golf vr6 front brakes are 288mm and In fact some are 280 . Having abit of an argument with a seller on eBay who is convinced they are all 288 on the vr6 and it was only the g60 Corrado with 280mm . I've asked him for the part number so I can check it and he has not replied since .

Club Event: GTI Spring Festival - 06 Apr 2014 (Single Day Event)

Was a nice day , good to see you again and thanks for having us on the stand -
Pretty sure it wasn't in there either mate cause it would have rattled , I think it may be part of the internals of the ISV . VR6Pete has one for me so I will swap them over to be safe . Car runs nice again now and burbles that little bit more
-
Problem solved the ISV was jammed open by a little screw , heck knows where it came from but at least it's sorted now . Runs well again now
-
Could you bring an xxl hoodie to springfest please
-
I'm going with a few friends mate they organised one this year , otherwise I would have been
-
Can you bring them with you to spring fest mate and we will sort it out there .
-
I don't think it is either tbh mate can't see why it would be , I recon my ISV just decided to pack up at the same time I changed it for some reason . Just checked again and it's giving fault code 00533 which is ISV related anyway .
-
I have had to put jubilee clips on the pipe and restrict the flow going to it proper bodge job lol .How much are you after for your ISV and intake mate I will take both off your hands cause if it's the ISV then I can keep the bonrath if not then just return to standard .
-
Temporary fix is ok for now but the car feels down on power a lot now , it's doing my head in so I'm going to get hold of another standard intake and just get rid of the bonrath cause my car just don't like it for some strange reason
-
Think I have found the problem it's the ISV side of things acting like taking in too much air flow , if I compress the intake to it it sort of solves the problem but my idle speed still sits at 1k
-
Cuts out if I unplug it also the same on my spare one too .
