  1. Oh yes, private plate coming in Nov, watch this space! I've been through a lot of cars in the last few years. Mainly because I really wanted a grey 3 door non sunroof 4motion. I just couldn't ever find one and if I did they were miles and miles away, massive mileage or just knackered. Then I bought a lovely black 1.8t and shortly after I'd spent a fair bit on wheels and coilovers this came up for sale very local! It's been mechanically well looked after but does appear to had been driven through a bush! Looks a lot better in photos than it actually is. It has a small crease in both rear quarter
  2. Hi, yes there are plans! Mainly sort some of the tatty bits of bodywork out, find and fix the oil leak, mix the broken haldex controller(currently isolated via a switch on the dash so running fwd!) retrim the headliner, probably some different wheels at a later date, I love the manhattans but man they're heavy! Black projector headlights. Debadge the front and rear. Mk5 sump so I can lower it a little more. The R32 running gear bits. Probably a remap to squeeze some better cross range power out of him. Airide one day when I can afford it. There's probably more!
  3. Hi. I've lurked for ages. Probably popped up occasionally when I had my mk2 vr. But now have a new toy. I love it! The mk2 was aw some but this is just a bit more refined, seats I actually fit in, suspension that's firm but not crashing, no cabin that stinks of petrol due to deleted pcv. I could go on. But here's a pic of the new beast instead.
  4. Hi Guys. My new 4mo is misbehaving. When I lift off the accelerator it's feels like it's braking under its own power. I've checked the discs and none seem excessively hotter than any of the others. It does pull slightly to the left so tracking is out but I've never had that cause this level of 'braking'. Haldex was recently serviced but the haldex controller isn't working correctly as the previous owner has fitted an isolation switch to turn the haldex off! Off or on it still does the braking thing. Any other common causes?
  5. Yeah, for £200 PM against the halfrauds they were a bargain! They'll need refurbish at some point but I might just sand the worse of the rash and rattle can them black for now.
  6. Thanks. Needs lowering, remapping, and a straight pipe exhaust.
  7. Pics on the xxrs. 8.75 both ends but looks good. They need a minor refurb but can't grumble for £200!
  8. Done! Now on xxr527 that I somehow managed to swap these for with a bit of cash his way!
  9. Hi. My new car has had a new fuel pump fitted very recently by previous owner. But for some reason he opted to put in an s3 4bar swirl pot rather than a standard 3bar. It emits a constant whine which is very annoying. If it was the standard 3bar I'd say it was faulty. But I just wondered if it might be something to do with it being 4bar? Previous owner says its normal and fine but it's driving me nuts!
  10. Hi. After dalliances with 4 other mk4, a v5 Passat (what was I thinking) and a mental mk2 vr6, I finally purchased the car I should have bought years ago. Here he is. Just needs a name.
