    I got another connector and re soldered it in, idle is fine! got another post about the heating issue! But still dont know where this wire has come from...?

    Ive never flushed the system yet! Havnt had the car that long, guessin it would be a good place to start? I also tested the fans and only seems to work at 1 speed? not a slow and a fast?

    Hi all, New to the vr6 scene and heard they run very hot most of the time! But i wasnt sure if that was too hot, 98oC! I know it is warm in the UK atm, but is that correct? The fans do come on, but sound abit iffy so wondering weather i just need some new fans? Cheers Dan

    Thaught itmay have just been blanker! im just going to have to struggle on and replace the other connectors and solvethe boiling issue?

    Also i found this wire hidden in the bay which im certain has never been plugged in? It comes out the main harness and is a blue'ish colour?

    Hi, just been looking over the vr6 today and noticed 2 connectors were just about gone, so i 100% know i need these connectors as one is the throttle body sensor so know my car idles at 1900rpm, which isnt really a problem as i know a new connector will sort this, But im having some issues with coolant? i thought my fans weren't coming on, but they do, pretty much when my header tank is spilling! I had loads of issues with my 16v to do with rad and fans, hoping this is nothing to serious, i did have the inlet manifold off the other day, have i forgotten something? Cheers Dan

    i did use a form of lubrication but thaught it must have burnt off by now! I think the best thing is to take apart and refit to check for any damage! Thanks for the response

    Hi, id just recently taken my inlet manifold of to paint, but now after i give the car some power it begins to smoke alot out of the rear can and sometimes from the fins on the down pipe? Have i done something wrong when refitting as im sure there was never this issue before? Could this be a common fault and a simple fix? Thanks alot Dan
