  7. My car will be in the car park as it is a Skoda, my V6 is still at Central VW. See you all tomorrow.
  8. I have a 4 motion, I also have a turbo but they haven't met yet! I have 90% of what I need to turbo the car, just looking for head spacer and inlet manifold, or should I say I have found them I just have to fund them. Post up a bit more about your motor, would be of interest.
  9. I have decided to visit this show, my MK 4 won't be ready or presentable to show it, so I will be there to have a look at the MK 3's and Corrado's, not too sure about the damper vans, never really been a fan of them. I lok forward to seeing the VR6OC turn out.
  10. As mattvr6 says, you really should sell them wheels...... My 4 mo is a 5 door but I am preferring the look of the three door.
  11. Tidy looking car mate, same as mine, AUE. Just out of interest do you plan to keep those wheels? If you aren't then I would be interested....
  12. It will be fine, I have a few VAG cars now and all have had little issues but none have ever failed to complete the whole journey. Just remember to treat her like the girl friend and not the wife!! Check the fans work before you go and get stuck in traffic. Good luck
  13. Excellent, I will see you there, we shall be amongst quite a few Skoda's and probably a GT35R Nissan, to mention a few.
  14. I am quite new here, I also have a MK 4, which makes me a bit of an imposter lol. However, to summarise, I also run a photography forum and am a member of Briskoda, both forums offer great days out and meets, but both forums have a night mare to get people to attend. Briskoda has 98837 members and we currently have 8 people going to Oulton Park, we have a national mega meet with a big turn out on the 28th July but on the whole it is difficult to get people to meets. The photography forum, I arranged a landscape meet for 20 people, it is in the highlands of Scotland, we would stay in a sleep
  15. Yes mate, go to Javelin website and book yourself on to the 8th October open pit lane event, hopefully see you there.
  16. If possible can you post up some pictures please? I will be in Ireland early in September so can collect if it is what I need. Thanks
  17. I am going to turbo my 4 motion V6 later this year and I am in the process of getting all the relevant bits together, of which I have quite a pile of stuff now, I am however lacking an inlet manifold suitable for the conversion. I have seen a few off the shelf items from tuning companies but quite frankly are way too expensive. So, amongst all you fellow VR6 owners, has anybody got one that has been removed? Do you know if anybody is breaking a turbo modded car or have any drawings that I could use to have one fabricated? Thanks for your help.
  18. Just got a call to say that a few of my ordered up items have arrived at Central VW, the Eibach ARB's and my turbo bits have all arrived in a couple of big boxes, hopefully call in tomorrow to see what I have bought lol. I still need to buy my head spacer and a few other bits, but essentially I now have the turbo, FMIC, oil cooler, manifold, dump valve and so on, might need an inlet manifold, will find out tomorrow. Hopefully be looking at 300-325bhp with a low boost set up, then if I don't kill myself a steady progression to the dizzy heights of 450+ lol It is like Christmas in July.
  19. here are a few more pictures from a different part of the VAG group, looks like a great day was had by all. http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/281252-gti-international-2013-in-pictures/
  20. I ordered GAZ GHA's for my MK iv, not sure when they will be here as only ordered today. I found DT to be expensive an opted to buy from Larkspeed in stead, prices are good.
  21. Had an hour or so on the front this afternoon cleaning and stripping down the offending differential removed from the fo mo. I was expecting to see massive wear and tear with teeth missing from the gears and such like after the noise it was making in the car, however to my surprise there was no such damage! The gears look ok, as do the main drive gears from the Haldex to the crown gear, only thing I can put the noise and issue down to would be the bearings, they sound really course and feel rough! A couple of pictures of the stripped diff, I left the Haldex unit in tact as this was ok, any i
  22. Just ordered up a few more bits for the 4 mo, the Eibach 26mm front and 24mm rear ARB specced for an R32 and also a set of GAZ GHA coilovers front and adjustable rears, I have no experience of GAZ so taking a stab in the dark, reviews look ok on other marques and they seem to have good customer service. I will post up when fitting. Anybody on here fitted GAZ? Would be good to hear your views.
  23. Thanks, I have also ordered a shed load of turbo parts for the next stage of the project, I am going to start with low boost and keep it around 300bhp for a while, then when funds allow I think it will get updated again, first job is to iron out the bugs! Which is what I am doing now.
  24. I hope so mate, it seems every time I manage to extinguish a dash light another one comes on! The car has been stood for a good while so when it gets mobile I expect a few weeks of fine tuning but it should be ok.
  25. 7th July 2013, up early, dog walked and set off for the garage, today the diff is getting replaced any other bits and pieces I can fettle will be! Got the car up on the lift and set too, removed the exhaust from the centre section, very heavy piece of tin!, also removed the flimsy heat shield so as to gain access to the Diff and all the bolts holding it in, job was easy enough and all went well, we replaced the oils in the new diff set up whilst it was out of the car, this made things much easier than pumping oil up hill! All in the job took three hours from start to finish, here are a few p
