  1. No worries, once you have a date I would start a new post and get a list of attendees up and how/who to pay
  2. Just need a date now as we have plenty of people interested in going.
  3. Quite a few will have boost but on diesels, I have a low boost VR6 4 motion, should be fun Remember it is a bit of fun not a competition
  4. Get a date published then, I am OK for May also, not the 2nd though as we are at Bedford for How Fast event with Briskoda.
  5. Posted the details up on Briskoda, a great bunch who attend a fair few events per year, lets see if we can fill your event http://www.briskoda.net/forums/topic/349047-curborough-sprint/
  6. Get some dates then and I will post it up with some of the guys I go to the track with, all VAG cars just not VW.
  7. Great, I will keep an eye out for the post going up, if we can't get enough cars off VR6OC will you consider other marques?
  8. With Simon you can agree a price up front, he will stick to that. Give him a call on Monday, he may not take it on as he is a busy fella, are you supplying all the bits? Another one to try is CMA in Sandycroft, Tony Read rebuilt our Lupo engine and did a grand job of it.
  9. In Ellesmere Port, Simon has a massive knowledge of engine building, he is responsible for the turbo conversion on my MK4, he also runs a 475 bhp 2.0 8 valve G60 at the minute. I highly recommend him form what he has done for me and what he has been involved with.
  10. Does it need to be in Essex? If it doesn't try Simon at Central VW
  11. You have to make this happen Gwr, it will be a great day out. Have you an idea on dates? Might be a good idea to publish them as holidays and other commitments are already planned in.
  12. any sort of weird grumbling noises seem to emanate from my wife, never the car... Not helpful, sorry.
  13. iirc, there is a wheel that runs against the column, simply rotate it around until the reading is correct, vids will measure the output of the sensor to confirm it works. Contact ilexa in Devon and treat yourself to VCDS
  14. I would be up for this, I did a sprint at Barkston Heath through Javelin, it was a great day out and I was amazed at how hard it is to go one second quicker! You can here the mirrors whacking the poles on the chicane and you can also see what happens when you push too hard https://youtu.be/HahgfIDVplI
  15. There will be nothing wrong with your sensor, when you strip the column down and take your steering wheel off you can make the sensor turn with your finger, hooked up the VCDS you can turn it until it shows zero, refit everything and you have sorted the issue. Or you can do it this way http://www.r32oc.com/topic/76146-mk4-steering-angle-sensor-g85-fixed/
  16. Nowt wrong with this forum, I have a MK 4 4 motion and have had questions answered when I asked them. I have met one or two of you and you are decent chaps. There is a slight bias to a VR6 12 valve but that is probably because there is a lot of them about and that is not a criticism. jd's is obviously a little disgruntled about something and should vote with his feet. If he doesn't like it here he doesn't have to sign in.
  17. Reset the codes and see which ones come back. Steering angle sensor, this will need checking to see if it sends a signal, if it does then a simple reset of that can be done, I did mine with the steering wheel off, wheels facing straight and turned the sensor wheel until a zero was present on the VCDS software, sorted it out. Locking module I wouldn't worry about. 65535 error can be displayed in many areas, it is present on my car showing a Haldex issue, however everything works fine, here is an explanation from Ross Tech. http://wiki.ross-tech.com/wiki/index.php/65535
  18. I work in Leeds so one night I could VCDS scan it for after work if you want? You will need to get yourself to Leeds though, just near Porsche garage by Elland road. PM I can sort out the detail
  19. Any garage can run a scan, or you can ask on here if anybody has VCDS who live in your area they may well scan your car for you. Where do you live?
  20. You have a 4 motion that wheel spins out of corners, your ESP light could be linked to wheel speed sensor or a Haldex issue, I have never got my 4 motion to wheel spin except on wet grass. Your car needs to be scanned with VCDS to pinpoint the ESP issue.
  21. My 4 motion had the ESP light on too, I replaced the sensors behind the dash and did the steering wheel angle sensor reset but the light stayed on. I searched the internet for a solution and found that the ESP can be coded out leaving the ABS to work as it should. Here is a LINK to coding out the ESP with VCDS.
  22. Quality is good, a well made item if a little pricey. Throttle body has no coolant feed.
  23. I bought mine off turbo parts.de, it has a bend down on the end so really easy to plumb up, here is a picture.
  24. No mate, it is a track day car, I see no reason why it would not make a daily drive, reliability is good, since being turbo'd it has done nothing else but get leathered around the track with no issues.
