My set up is really simple, no head spacer, stock ECU, stock injectors, I added a fuel regulator to 4 bar, turbo and cast manifold and a short runner intake, intercooler and oil cooler. I had chip wizard map it and remove all the fault codes off the SAI and such items, I now have a modest 285 bhp that has done four track days with only one issue, the waste gate un bolted itself, rebooted this on and we are ok again.

A gallon is smaller in the USA so you will get less (I am assuming you are in the USA because we don't have Gas here), my 24valve did about 25 mpg when it was on the road, this was after replacing Lambda sensors and a few other bits and pieces Central VW sorted out for me.

It does have a noise that comes through the speakers but not a VR6 tune, I have my MK 4 for that
-
You have to admit though, 1.4 150bhp is a usable daily driver, you look at the images above you can see a real nightmare for anybody who buys this car secondhand in 15 years time! Forums like this will be overrun with Help Me my electric motor has died, or Where can I buy a battery from type threads. Lets see what happens after I have had a test drive, cars arrive in the UK in April so not too long to wait.

the actual figure is £460 for me, this includes fuel. The GTE is £90 a month including petrol should it need any..... which it will.
-
... in particular the new Golf GTE, it has a 1.4 turbo petrol engine, a washing machine motor linked to DSG and front wheel drive. What caught my eye was the fact it has 35g/km emissions meaning it will cost me hardly anything on my company car tax and it is only 1/10th of a second slower than the GTD Golf to 62mph, with a fairly impressive 7.6 seconds, it also has a claimed 188mpg which I am sure will be more like 60mpg in daily use. This is a true plug in hybrid with all the looks of a GTi/GTD Golf, has anybody bought one or test driven one? Here is a link to a autoexpress LINK

I have a brand new cast manifold in my garage, it was bought for my turbo conversion, I was assured it was for a 24 valve VR6 but you guessed it! It was for a 12 valve VR6, it can be yours for £50 + postage.

Extremely hung over

Standard FWD rear suspension is completely different to that of the 4motion, the springs pictured above will not fit a FWD Golf
-
I fitted an oil cooler to my MK4, I removed the heat exchanger and joined the water pipe to itself, I fitted this TUBE and this SANDWICH PLATE where the heat exchanger used to be, then ran the pipes to a 19 row cooler. You might want to get a thermostatic fitting, mine is on a track car so needs to keep the oil cool. It works really well.
-
No, they are a small spring and shorter shock. Left side is front strut, right side is rear shock and spring
-
I have a cone on my VR and it makes no noise! Might be because it is turbo'd. My Lads Lupo has a BMC on it and that sounds great, it is shit slow but it sounds great

Over on the Briskoda Forum they are organising the annual meet at Rockingham this year, usual show cars with silly tyres and broken suspension combined with a track day too. 21st June, I am sure if you simply sign up you could attend with Non Skoda cars, as I do with my Golf.
-
I would also be interested in rods & Pistons for the 2.8 24 valve AUE engine, I will keep an eye on this post to see when you are ordering
-
Hardly anything, when I did mine there was just a small amount as the oil had drained back to sump. Slightly different set up on the MK 4 AUE engine though as the cooler is on top of the oil filter housing. I removed it totally and fitted the sandwich plate in its place and mounted a 19 row cooler in front of the radiator in the upper part of the grill.
-
Do they make them for the 2.8 24 valve AUE engine? I have been looking for some for a while now from either Integrated Engineering or Turbo-Parts.de all of which are more expensive than you mention. One final question, has anybody got any experience? Tried and tested them?

my hands hurt
-
I got mine from here http://www.turbo-parts.de/Ansaugbruecken:::9.html if you email him and tell him you are a company he will knock a bit more off. Mine arrived next day, great quality product and I personally think well worth the money.

expensive day shopping

I have one in the garage, it has a hole in the sump, engine was switched off before any damage was done. Let me know if you are interested OR look here http://www.vr6oc.com/forum/topic/45821-bora-vr6-4motion-breaking-for-spares/

Only 30 cars booked for the January 31st track day at Oulton Park, we need more VR's in Cheshire, come on guys!!
-
The ABF is a 2 litre 16 valve from the GTi, it is a cracking engine, I have a mate running 475 bhp from an ABF turbo no sure what the KR is
-
Yes mate 1.8T, I bought all the running gear, subframes, shafts etc from the the TT, I was offered the engine too but a 1.8T does not tick any boxes for me, the only 4 pot I would have is an ABF.
-
No, an 02M is interchangeable between 4 and 6 cylinders, the box I am currently running is from an Audi TT Quattro 1.8T in my VR6 24 valve MK 4, I have no idea about 02A, I will take your word for it.

big brake suggestions?
Swivelonit replied to el_chriso's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
According to this thread they do fit but you need to run 17" wheels. http://www.edition38.com/forums/index.php?showtopic=523548
