  1. I would imagine so, it is just a matter of getting the correct carriers if not, the 312 set up I removed bolted straight onto a MK 2 Golf. The Brembo's are readily available, check out LCR forum of ukmkiv's, Briskoda etc they are always appearing for sale. I run Ferodo DS3000 pads in mine and only on track.
  2. It is doable to most cars if you have the time and skills to do it, I know of two projects currently underway. 1st is a Skoda Citigo that is being fitted with the running gear from an Audi TT quattro and a 1.8T with 450bhp, this can be seen HERE 2nd, is a MK 2 G60 being retro fitted with a TT-RS motor and running gear via a DSG gearbox, easy days on this project with the shell being prepped and the rear subframe has been modified to fit the G60. The gearbox on a 4 motion is the same in many cars, the Bora, Golf and TT all use the same box even if the engine is VR or 1.8T, the box is an
  3. When you get the answer to your question you may be interested in the 4 motion gear box, transfer box, prop shaft, rear subframe, Haldex/diff, driveshafts, hubs etc that I have in my garage..
  4. I went for Leon Cupra R Brembo's, these are a 323 mm disc and 4 pot calliper. this was an upgrade from the 312 mm set up that was fitted as standard to my MK 4 Golf. They just fit behind 17" Team Dynamic Pro race 3 wheels but I have to use 15mm spacers when I fit my Team Dynamic Pro Race 1.2's
  5. ECP run a lot of discount codes on many forums, ukmkiv25, Brisk25 to mention a couple but when you get an email stating a special offer weekend these codes do not work. If you are looking to buy anything now there is a claimed 52% discount offer running, if you type extra5 you will receive an extra 5% off.
  6. They can be expensive but like I said, you should get to know somebody who works there, then the prices are more favourable.
  7. You need to know an employee, trust me, they are competitive. I am not into neon washer jets or calliper paint either.
  8. Cheaper yes I agree but when you have a Vauxhall engine, being converted to dry sump and eventually being fitted in a MK 2 Escort DT is a great place to go to with a few pieces and say "That needs to fit to that" out come a load of fittings, they then get assembled and paid for and the job moves forward, internet is ok but imagine how long it would take to order what you think you need and then have to send it back because it doesn't fit. DT tyres are usually competitive too.
  9. I am not far from Wrexham living in St Helens, just 35-40 minutes away. Wrexham being a very important place too, Demon Tweeks is there.
  10. I bought it from eBay, Toyo Sport iirc, I bought a 24 valve one from them and it is working well, so far it has been run on four full track days and has been rather hot I would imagine. Like you I spent a year or so collecting different parts needed for a turbo conversion, when I had everything the spanners came out and the fitting started, was easier than I thought it would be, mapping was also a fairly straightforward process.
  11. I have a brand new cast manifold in my garage, it was bought for my turbo conversion, I was assured it was for a 24 valve VR6 but you guessed it! It was for a 12 valve VR6, it can be yours for £50 + postage.
  12. I don't think it is illegal but I do know it makes a real mess of your wheel and side of the car.
  13. I do know that when I ordered my short run intake the 12v and 24v are different, maybe the inlet ports in the head have slightly different spacing?
  14. I have no idea if it is the same as a 12v, I took mine off when the turbo went on as it was no longer required.
  15. I have a variable manifold in my garage off my MK 4 24valve AUE engine, save yourself some air fare and buy mine. it isn't green though, just bog standard silver.
  16. Here is a picture of the bottom of it, the box is quite compact and has an air feed that comes from behind the headlight or below if you want to pipe it from elsewhere.
  17. I fitted GAZ GHA's to my MK 4, they are not too expensive approx £500, they are height adjustable coilovers, also the damping is adjustable which I have used on the road, the ride was very good. http://www.gazshocks.com 4 Motion GAZ GHA
  18. I have a MK4 air box sitting in the garage you can have if it is any use to you?

  23. As it was wet I softened the suspension up so turn in was better. Here it is on three wheels hooning around Barkston Heath at a Sprint event, the car was still road legal here and I used to drive it to and from the events.
  24. When I first got mine, it was holding back as you describe, I also scanned it with shareware software, once I did a proper scan with a genuine VCDS Ross Tech cable a lot more codes showed up, the problem my car had was the lateral sensor on the bulkhead, I changed this and the car was completely different. I went on to replace the Lambdas too, this also made a huge difference, full VCDS will show which one is the problem. As said, your engine should pull well to the red line.
