Hello mate, welcome back! Looks like quite a tidy one, gotta love a bit of climatronic!
-
I'm just going to clean it right up and paint a few bits, make sure it's running 100% then sell it on I think, unless I find somewhere to store it[emoji848].
-
Really good, I might just clean up and reseal the front jacking points as they're just a tiny bit scabby, I wish my red one was this clean and solid when I got it!

So today I did something that I didn't particularly want to do, but clearly I'm now to far into this show and scene bull crap so I did it![emoji85][emoji23] Notched my drivers side chassis as when I air out the front of the car sat higher on the drivers side, due to the driveshaft sitting on the chassis, here's how I did it; Marked it up; Cut the hole ready for a bit of 3" pipe; Started to weld it up before cutting off the bottom half, Got it all welded up, which was bloody awkward on the back half due to there being a VR6 in the way![emoji23] Grinded down; Prepped, primered -
That's a rubberised coating under the paint that protects from stonechips and other stuff , it can be replicated with with stuff called stoneguard mate[emoji1360]

All of the pattern sills tend to come from the same manufacturer mate,(probably Hadrian) they're not normally a spot on fit, like a genuine one would but they do the job, if they're reasonably priced just go for it[emoji1360]

The exhaust had a little blow which turned out to be the sensor hole on the back of the cat which was quickly welded up. The Air Con seemed to be trying to kick in but wasn't getting cold so I thought I'd push my luck and regas it, It only bloody works!! [emoji16][emoji300]️

As some of you may know I recently bought another Golf VR6 from an advert headed 'VR6 disposal Essex' on here, from a very nice chap called Nigel. It turns out Nigel had owned the car for 16 years and the only previous owner was a friend of his. Apart from a couple of photos that was all I knew about the car. So I took the plunge sent a buddy of mine with a recovery truck over to Billericay to 'rescue' it. Worst case if it's a basket case me and@bealieboy currently own a Mk3 van and would have been able to make use of the running gear[emoji51].

That could work Cook [emoji848][emoji16] oh no this could get expensive [emoji85][emoji23] -
Say hello to project OE! Well I needed somewhere to get rid of all the standard crap I've amassed over the last 3 years of VR ownership [emoji23]
-
Err sorry don't know why my post is on here 3 times, Mods HELP!

I run a Rotrex, which seems to be a good charger, the main problem will probably be finding a kit, most people tend to sell complete kits with injectors etc, brakes are easy and cheap enough if you go for something like a 312mm set up on the front, vr brakes aren't to bad anyway, maps are around £400 and pretty much everyone uses Stealth Racing in Warickshire for that.

The best noise from a VR comes from the front[emoji6], bmc kit or a drilled air box and panel filter are probably the most popular choices[emoji1360]

Depends on what charger and what boost you run, anything like this will obviously need mapping, though I kept my original Ecu, so that I could just swap it back in if I removed the charger, I've uprated my fuel pump, but only because I needed a new tank. But to be honest if it's a daily sell it, buy a Golf TDI and get that mapped![emoji1360][emoji6][emoji23]

Hold on I know this car!![emoji6]

I bolted my Rotrex charger kit on in an afternoon and it makes around 300bhp, I could take it off and sell it for what it owes me in the same day I reckon, that's what I like about Superchargers.

I did something against my religion this week and paid someone else to do something on the VR[emoji15][emoji23], I had the gear and my US hand brake gaiter's re-trimmed in alcantara to match the seat centre's[emoji4]. I was looking at changing the gear gaiter and knob but I really like the oe full leather ones and I'm really pleased with the outcome, the only problem is that I'm now looking at other parts of the interior wondering what else I could get done![emoji85] -
I'll have these if they haven't sold, take it they're mk3 golf and not corrado?
