I've got another one, buy a new car, (on finance) put air ride on it expensive wheels or rotiforms stand back win show done,then wrap it in some shit matt colour for next year .........not that I'm bitter or anything lol!

Finished the last few bits for the mot over the past few weeks, replaced rear abs sensors and have the front ones a clean, abs light was still in so plugged it into snap on and was coming up with the rear abs sensors and front near side so wiped the faults and took her for mot on Thursday. Failed at first due to weak near side headlight, offside head light too high, dreaded abs light came back on and was picking up too much air on the emmisions test due to shagged Pcv valve. Quick tinker with the off sides earth connection to the bulb, set the headlights, bit of hosing to bodge the Pcv valve and wiped the abs codes again and I was out of there with no advisories so been having a bit of fun last few days after a while with the vr sat up

Hi everybody, I have been lurking about on here since September that is when I bought my first vr6. It's dragon green with 142000 on the clock, an old lady had owned it for the past 16 years with vw service history up to 10000. This is it when I first bought.
Since then I've had the bonnet painted, new wheel bearing front and back and new starter motor.
I've bought the car as a hobby, something to tinker about with in the garage. I work long hours and spend time with the family at weekend. I really enjoy spending a few hours a night playing about with it. So I thought it was about Time I started a build thread.

In between the rain,hail thunder and bits of sunshine today I've got the engine bay cleaned up a bit so it matches the rest of the car! Got rid of some of the cavity wax on the chassis legs, horrid stuff! Here's a before and after of the inner wing;
Even cleaned and polished the inside of the bonnet;
Did it by getting a bit brave with the jet wash,some thinners on the cavity wax,finished off with a bit of engine laquer, so now it's a bit closer to the finish of the rest of the car;
The car got a bit wet for the first time much to my annoyance! But got a lovely bit of beading;

Yeah she's on the road and yes I'm itching to get the charger on, but want to leave it alone and just drive it for a bit! Just treated myself to an engine stand only £60,so got the spare engine I got with the other bits on it ready for me to play with over the year! Plus it's far easier to move about now;
