Looks good mate [emoji106] Where did you get the wrap done? I'm only in Bradford & want to get mine wrapped after I sort the rust while saving for it painting. -
Dragon Green MK3 Recommission Project
Marneus replied to s3dxm's topic in Members Rides and Event Photos
I had my eye on the one with TVR wheels, lots of lovely Dragon Green bits to transfer over.... And the wheels should sell on for a bit of cash. Good work [emoji106] -
I got the new (to me) scuttle & new pollen filter in but the wind stole one of my wiper nut covers [emoji24] Also changed the air filter while I was there... The dog got bored watching me again [emoji23]

Yeah, sounds like there's a rolling brook behind my dash.... Think I found the culprit though It's leaking so I'm thinking it's enough to unseal the system & let the coolant bubble.

Thanks Pete, I've loads of plans but this year will mainly be getting the black interior in, getting the coilovers fitted, finding some S3 Avus wheels, changing the header tank & a couple of hoses to try get shut if the annoying gurgle I can sometimes hear, then using her till November. I'm taking her off the road then for MOT prep & welding (will see how much [emoji24]) Eventually she will get resprayed & a big arse turbo will take up residence under the bonnet [emoji16]

Looks ok from the front too.... Just needs to be lower now. Also got the horn & rear fogs working.... Horn was a corroded fuse & rear fogs was lack of bulbs [emoji23][emoji23]

Had a couple of hours tonight so decided to take the scuttle panel off as the one on it is brittle & rotten, I have one to replace it that's in vgc but on taking the old one off I found this It was full of leaves, muck & general shite, needs a new pollen filter too so ordered one. Hoovered it all out & gave it a quick wipe down Still love the look of these from the back.... Harvey wasn't too impressed though [emoji23]

ABS Pump Repairs - BBA Reman
Marneus replied to VR6Pete's topic in Wheels, Brakes, Suspension and Steering
I sent 3 pumps to them for repair when I had my last VR6.... They couldn't repair any of them & charged me £55 a time for the privilege..... If one dies on me again I'm just ripping the lot out [emoji23] -
Finally it's on [emoji16]

Cheers [emoji106]

Link takes me to an old Valeting thread.... Put me down for both please [emoji106]

Got a few more little bits done this morning. Fitted front fog light vents. Removed rear wiper. Fitted the rubber bung so my fuel flap is now flush with the wing..... It's the little things [emoji23]

Cheers Dave [emoji106] A dettol wipe them some cheap leather wipes is all I used on them [emoji23] The leather has seen better days & as I'm not a great fan of leather it will be getting replaced with black cloth.... Complete with black everything else, probably a mk3.5 dash while I'm at it. Hopefully taking the headliner & the rest of the trim out this week so I can try to get rid of the awful smell. Then it's saving for parts & the restoration can begin.

More importantly I've got the drivers seat & gear knob back in & she's had 4 new tyres put on today so at least I can play [emoji48] Just waiting on the log book so I can stick my number plate on [emoji3]

Just had it up to my mates to put on his ramp & it's not too bad..... For a mk3 [emoji23] Over the winter we're going to do both sills, both rear arches, the lower back panel behind the bumper, both front wings.... They're the bits I can't do. I've got this little list, Bushes all round (not necessary now but will be for my turbo plans) Brake hard lines to the rear (I hate going near the abs pump/controller [emoji24]) Stainless brake hoses all round & new discs/pads. Not too bad.... Wish I'd have been able to get under it before I bought it now as I'd have knocked a bit more off the

Phase one.... Clean interior & change lights. And I now know there's no rust in the floor [emoji23]

Mines now got no interior in.... Smells a lot better but not very practical ? I'll be there even if it's only got 2 seats in ? -

Thanks David. We'll arrange convoy times just before ? -
Thanks mate, she needs a bit of work but nothing much (worst bit is the non working sunroof) And I still blame you, Shakey & Dougie for making me want to get another mk3 [emoji23][emoji23][emoji106]
