  1. I had to take the 20mm ones off the rear of mine as it caught on the arch badly, I'm running -60mm lower. The fronts are fine though it's just the rears. 15mm should be ok but at least with coilovers you can raise it to suit.....
  2. Should be fairly easy mate. I've never had it take longer than an hour to remove & replace both bumpers. Just make sure you undo everything & have another pair if hands there for realigning the new ones, they're not heavy but just a bit cumbersome to manoeuvre on your own.
  3. I thought that but could be because the other side is so low, with being a solid axle it could be pulling it down.... If that makes sense?
  4. I'm running et 42 on the rear of mine and it's close to the strut, with the coilovers being bigger diameter they will touch. If you're rolling the arches then 15-20mm spacers are good. If you're not then I'd stick to 10mm as this should space the wheel out enough..... Get some wood of varying thickness & make template spacers to see what's best. DON'T drive with the wood on though!

Nankangs on mine too & I can't fault them for the price £160 for 4 tyres.
  6. I've just paid £20 for the spark plug/HT lead tool
  7. I really want to learn how to detail it myself but time is very tight at the moment. I'll probably have a load of stupid questions for you when I get started though
  8. Let me know when you want her and I'll get her down to you Thanks mate
  9. I know mate, I'll get round to it shortly...... I hope
  10. Well seeing as though I can't drive the Golf & I'm supposed to be saving for my wedding it seemed only fair to buy a little present for her so she doesn't feel left out..... So I bought her some new shoes Audi S3 Avus in 17x7.5 et35 They need a light refurb & then tyres but that will have to wait till May.... I think I need some coilovers next, the Koni/H&R I have on now is just a tad too soft. Thinking of either FK Highsports or the AP ones (Around £400)
  11. Yeah mate, I keep seeing them but they always turn up when I'm skint lol We're they easy to fit? I've heard they're a direct replacement. Your car is beginning to look finished, the home stretch is here!
  12. Just got meguires stuff for £7 so the next time I'm away with work I'll give it a bash.
  13. Standard VR tyres are 205/50/15 and I've run these with coilovers. Where exactly are yours catching?
  14. I agree with daveyboy about the exhaust & I really like the handles mate. I'm thinking of doing them on all 4 doors on mine..... Finding them is the tricky part I'm finding though.
  15. Cool, I'll nip down to the local factors & get a few sheets of wet n dry. I'll order some of the autoglym stuff online. Cheers mate!
  16. I don't have a machine polisher mate, it will all have to be done by hand, in a hotel room when I'm working away lol They're not in bad condition just a bit dull, just had a look at the meguires stuff & I'll give that a try.
  17. Thanks fellas! I'll give the polish a try before I have a go with the wet & dry.
  18. Is there a specific product around that would shine all the lenses on my Golf up? I've managed to get all the lights I want for the car, all without damage but they're a bit dull. Is there anything I can do to polish them up? Also my headlights could do with rejuvenating too. Cheers Jamie
  19. Where did you get them side repeater blanks from mate? I'm looking but can't seem to find them.
  20. The perfect wheel for the mk3. What size did you go for?
  21. Loving the way this looks now. I bet you can't wait to get out & drive her after all the hard work mate!
