  3. Afternoon all Does anyone know if VW still sell door/boot rubber seal & the rear light seals? I want to replace all mine as it feels a bit damp inside if it's been stood in the garage for a week or so, also the door seals whistle a bit at speed. Cheers Jamie
  4. I'm going to book the weekend off & I'll be there. Close to home so can bring my daughter (she'll be 13 months old so will like the shiny cars lol)
  5. Already on series link, it long ago stopped being a serious show but the entertainment value is awesome.... It's the only car related show the other half will watch with me
  6. Right.... I got her in for the MOT last Saturday & she failed but only on the ABS The tester said that she's very clean underneath with virtually no surface rust at all & only a small bit of damage where some idiot has jacked her up just in front of the jacking point. So she's now tucked up in the garage until I get a few days off so I can take the ABS pump off & send it away for refurb. So with a clean bill of health i.e. no expensive rust to sort out I can start gathering bits for phase 1 of modifications What's the best way to empty the brake fluid & what should I r
  7. Awesome work mate. I need a new screen in mine, was looking at doing it myself but have decided it isn't worth me losing my temper with so will pay the £85 to my insurance & get them to bugger about with it
  8. What did you do to it mate???
  9. As above. I ended up buying an auto as it was the best condition car I found (these are old cars now & the rust is killing more & more of them) I'll end up converting to manual though.
  10. stuck in a hotel in Newmarket due to work. Rusted bolts, shafts & bearings don't just plague me when I'm playing with the car lol
  11. Go round and kick him in the teeth for that. It sounds like you'd have been failed regardless!
  12. Sorry to hear of your illness, it's a nasty thing is meningitis! Glad you're felling well enough to think about working on the Golf
  13. I'll try them too then, cheers
  14. I told the guy it would be a fortune but he wants a price anyway. I think I'll ring around tomorrow if I get chance.
  15. Evening all, I've got someone who in Oregon who wants to buy the wings & rear hatch off the Golf I'm breaking. I've no problems with making a crate for these to ship in but have no idea about how to go about sending them. Has anybody got any experience with this? Who did you use? Cheers Jamie
  16. When you vagcom it does it show "Terminal 30 low voltage"? It didn't show any ABS faults for mine when we ran a check but it did show Terminal 30 low voltage, with a bit of interweb surfing this comes back as a fault in the ABS ECU..... I suppose BBA will have checked that though? It was so much easier when you could rip the whole ABS system out & still get an MOT!
  17. Did you manage to get her running mate?
