  1. Standard airbox flows best, put in a dry element replacement filter. Oiled filters like k&n and pipercross ruin vag mafs over time. Bmc cda's have been proven to restrict a 20vt wouldn't imagine the vr will suck less air. Cba searching but there is a good comparison thread on vortex a guy with a vrt has done the standard airbox was best for the engine.
  2. I made one for my leon out a metal water bottle, worked mint. Vr bay is a bit tighter though. Only problem I see with running just a pipe is oil hitting the road.
  3. I run a long pipe to the back of my subframe. Want to install a decent catch can system though.
  4. As above poly all the way just for ease of fitting.
  5. Yeah but it will make the lip the wheel sits on very thin. Better to modify the disc.
  6. I run 20mm hubcentric's with a 5mm universal behind them. Make sure they are torqued correctly and its fine. Easily done 5k like that.
  7. That's a big balloon of a tyre, as above probably won't fit the best.
  8. I'm running 195/40's but its personal preference really. How low is the car going to be?
  9. Good bushes have fitted them to a couple of motors now. That's a set of front and rear bushes.
  10. I think that means your maf has had it. The car should change when its unplugged, (if unplugging when running) it will change to a safe level of Fuelling as it has no idea what's going on without the maf.
  11. What you building to have the radiator in the back? Sounds interesting..
  12. Low oil pressure could cause the chains to come slack and jump a tooth. Have you checked the timing marks?
