What ratios do mk4 v6 run the same as the vr?

Had a quick play in a v5 earlier the action through the box is so much better gives you a much more precise feel

Those seem reasonable length ratios 55 in second is annoying will mean losing revs changing to 3rd to get up to 60 quick unless you thrap the nuts off it and try keep it in the power band

You'd think the v5 box coming from a car with a similar bhp out put would have better ratios than that? Are the vr6 and v5 that vastly different peromance wise?

Was hoping one of you vastly clever folk could tell me what to purchase g60 final drive wise have seen a few boxes on that there ebay but something in the back of my memory says theres 2 types? If so what do I need for my 96 vr and where do you suggest I go to have it put together as I think id screw it up

Anyone had any dealings with psi tuning in Staffordshire? and if so are they any good? thinking of getting them to remap the beast on the rolling road now its got all its exhaust mods and induction bits fitted what sort of gains should I be looking at its now got a 6-1 manifold all wrapped de cat and jetex exhaust coupled with a modified airbox with k and n panel filter
