  1. hi lads iv just got some BBS RS245s from a friend at a good price I'm not looking to keep them he had to sell for some quick cash but i would like to no how much to put them up for sale at. At a quick look they range from £800+ some in worse condition than mine. One lip need lacquering the other needs the dint taking out
  2. hey lads i managed to snap up a full haldex system cheap for my mk2 vr6T project. My question is regarding the rest shocks and springs, iv done some searching online and not found a real answer to my question, basically the mk4 uses a separate shock and spring Could i use the mk4 spring in a custom mount and use my rear coilover instead of using the mk4 shock? or even just use the mk2 rear shock..?? iv found a few people using the full rear haldex setup but all have done different thongs with the shock/spring setup what do you all think? thanks lads
  3. It's rocking a coil pack so I guessed it was OBD2.... Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  4. Iv already got 90% of the turbo parts the engine conversion above dose not include the turbo build haha that's a silly amount more lol Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  5. the conversion comes with everything, peddle box, hydro line, shafts, gearbox, loom, ecu, transponder, shifter cables and tower the works. its costing me £300 for the mk3 and £200 for the full conversion from a friend, i can sell the leather interior and 8v engine that itself pays for the mk3.. as it comes with everything i won't need to buy much extra if anything. my only real question with the conversion is if the 2.9 vr loom will plug into the 8v fuse box iv done 2 Vr conversions on mk2 golfs but unsure how i stand with the mk3 fuse box i carnt see it being any different to the vr fuse
  6. right lads iv got the chance of a OBD2 2.9 corrado engine, box, loom, ecu the works and i can also get a cheap mk3 2.0 8v GTI iv got a few questions, is the obd2 2.9 good to turbo iv read up that the bottom end is not as strong as the 2.8 also I'm guessing it will just be a case of plug and play with the loom into the mk3 GTI loom is this the case?? all in this will only be costing me £500 and i really think its worth it with the body work on the mk3 being very good with no real rust, in jazz blue with colour concept blue leather interior that i could sell and iv already sold the 8v engine h
  7. I no my clearance issue is due to the SRI I have got and the fact iv opted to use the vr6 standard FPR.. I cannot rotate the FPR adaptor round. Could I have it on the other side of the fuel rail or do I need to keep it the way it is now like the standard fuel rail?? If anyone has any clue on if the 630cc injectors fit the standard fuel rail I'll gladly use that and sell my 034 rail and adaptor iv searched but came up with nothing Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  8. alright lads, I'm still collecting parts for my vet build. I recently got my SRI, 630cc injectors and 034 motorsport fuel rail but I have clearance issues with my fuel rail and the SRI i have got myself... dose anyone on if the 630cc injectors will fit in the standard VR6 fuel rail?? ill post some pictures up of my clearance issue thanks lads
  9. alright buddy, I'm recreating the manifold your asking about in the next few weeks, i messaged the builder of it asking the same question he replied saying the tacked it all in place to mark up what needs to be where, then split it back apart welded up the 2 90* to make the 180* and cracked on from that point welding the rest up as he went
  10. would i just be better running the haldex with a LSD front and rear with a custom haldex controller? i won't the best possible amount of grip for up to 500whp and i don't fancy risking FWD with a LSD not sure that would be much fun haha
  11. Alright lads, my plan is to convert my VRT from fwd to 4wd so far unsure if I'm going to do it to a mk3 or mk2 Jetta but I don't won't to use the heldex system as I won't a full and constant 4wd, so I'm planning on using a BMW e36 m3 subframe and LSD with a custom prop. My question is can the transfer box handle being 4wd all the time? What would be the best box to use 02m? I will be getting a lsd up front too so the box needs to have them available to buy Thanks lads Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  12. The timing chains are like new Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Yeah I no what your saying and it could be a case if doing this. I could keep the bottom end and have a rebore and go forged like I was going to do in a few years time but I'm saying the head is shit. I might keep the bottom ebd have that built and then use the head from the car I'll be buying. I just think the damage to the head is not worth sorting it looks like it's taken in part of a spark plug BUT was not present when I opened it up so guessing they removed it and ran it like it is. I don't think it's worth risking £1k worth of pistons and rods for the sake of a new head Sent from m
  14. Think it might be worth looking for another head, might even look for another engine. I was hoping it could be saved without spending to much but you can pick heads up for £100 and under I'm guessing I'll be talking double that for a skim and fill Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  15. I'm not sure a head skim will sort it, I'll take it the head will be dead?? How much am I looking at for a rebore I'm starting to think about going oversized a small amount and forged Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
