    Apart from lots of polishing (almost 15 hours in the wheels alone!) the only real changes for the show was a reduction in ride height, the red stripe round the grill was changed to a more subtle silver stripe and the rear numberplate was tinted with some laminex for the show. I think its the lowest its been+ I really like how it looks+ sits at the moment. General consensus was that the Vento looked like a factory special edition and I got lots of positive comments from people, I was very happy with the Vento at this stage and apart from the yellow lights there wasn`t anything I wanted to

    I was approached by the chairman of DC, deutchconnection were again having a Scottish show at the Vw garage but this time they were filling the showroom with cars they had handpicked from other clubs+ groups. He said they wanted the Vento inside the showroom and would I be happy to do so? I was mega chuffed to even be considered let alone picked so I said yes. I was a little concerned that the vento would look out of place in there but other club members + friends etc said it would look cool in there.     After the show we went to the Forth road bridge for some photos, the corrado was my brothers + the Mk3 golf has evolved into a Vr6 harlequin

    June 2011 we (fkindubs) had an indoor stand at the Scottish modified show, we had a theme of dodgy car showroom, we used some used car for sale signs for a laugh.

    In October I managed to split my sump so it was time for a new one, as it was the cars first failure and in some respects it was my doing I wasn`t too bothered. I sornd it at the end of November. I fitted a few little bits like the original indicators in the wings+ a rear door handle onto the passenger front door.I had at some point put a red stipe round the grill. some winter pics!

    Cheers, the paintwork cost me £1600 but I stripped the car down for them + had to buy a rear bumper for plastic welding and another bootlid to save welding up the spoiler holes.

    I went to Edition 38 and ran faultlessly apart from an oil leak at the sump plug where it had been hitting speedbumps and cambered roads

    We (fkindubs) had a clubstand at the DC tenpointfive (the Scottish DC show) Deutch connection take over the Vw dealership + fill the showroom with there cars and run a free show for the Vag group fans show+ shine, raffle, bouncy castle, exclusive offers from the dealership on cars + parts Some new pics stolen from the show, I was pretty chuffed that the Vento got a top 10 placement we were narrowly beaten to best clubstand but 2 others in our club got a top ten placement+ my brother won best wheels!     August 2010 Over the course of the summer it was used for family trips down south and apart from its service it ran faultlessly + not much else been happening apart from a slight reduction in height+ the wheels getting refurbed by Darren (my brother). I had decided to get the wheels redone to my taste as I wasn`t keen on the gold bolts as they were... the bolts had been gold plated just before I bought them and they weren`t my cup of tea so they got the heave-ho the nuts + bolts were stripped polished + re- chromed the lips were re-polished to make them shine again 7 and 8x16 compomotiv

    Fast forward to Feb/March 2010 ......Nothing major to report...drive ...clean ...drive ...clean repeat! Some pics off the Vento in the snow we had a wee while ago I got it in the drive,just! It didn`t get used for a couple of days cos I couldnae get it out the street
