    Well I gave in and just ordered a new one from France about £110 just got to wait about 2 weeks now ?. Thanks for the replays no doubt something else will go wrong once I've done this ?

    Hi I wonder if anyone can help just getting the vr6 ready for summer and the fan control module is dead, I took it apart and water has got in and corroded everything, my part number is 357 919 506 b which seems impossible to find a replacement, eBay, breakersyard.com,google,1stcoicesspares,vw heritage, amongst others with no joy, I wonder if anyone knows if any other would fit with maybe a bit of wiring or something. im desperate to get it back on the road after being off the road for a year due to getting rear ended but if I can't find one il have to get rid of her ? And advise would be

    Yes there's only one but it's in Germany, if nothing pops up il have to buy that one I've even googled the part and tried breaker yard.com trust me to have a rare one lol thanks for the reply

    Fan control relay in front of expansion tank with 2 fuses in the top protected by clear cap

    Hi all I wonder if someone can give me some advise a couple of weeks ago I got rear ended in my vr6 by a new Mercedes-Benz, I reckon it's going to be written off,does any one have a rough idea what I will get offered, it a 1993 done 183 thou but had head skimmed gasket chain done not long ago full respray a couple of years ago and mods e.g wheels lowered exhaust back lights head lights induction kit but I'm not sure if that gets taken into consideration, I'm absolutely gutted as I love my vr6 but I can't find a half decent one under £2000 Any advise would be great

    got a 6 speed box unfortunately, i took off the boot lifters and fitted them to my bonnet lol

    hi all I just wanted to pick your brains ive got a 93 vr6 and my mate wants me to break his mk4 gttdi for him is there any bits worth robbing off it to put on my vr6 I was thinking dashboard , brake calipers not seats as I have recaros in mine, thought some of you could come up with some ideas might use the engine out of it to put in my leon tdi as the engines blown in that
