i know this is a silly question but i had the same problem and it was a subframe bolt causing the subframe to rattle on the passenger side.turned out that it was the bolt because some one had put it in with an air gun and cross threaded it and there was about a 3mm gap.new pin replced and now is sound

I no but was jus going to order two right ones that's why I asked if they were both the same either side

Right have looked this morning and have checked power to the controller and that's there have checked the power under neath the seats and that's there and I can hear the relays buzzing underneath both seats but still nothing which wires do I check for the loom on heater pads and what else do I check for

Are they the same both sides or is one longer than the other

May be the battery gone mate.if you turn the ignition on does it turn over or does it just click -
On the standard harness there should be a ignition live and a constant live.have you checked the fuse and have you got a good earth

Hi guys have had another look at the seats again and it's strange that both seats aren't working.what should I check, how many fuses are there for the seats.which one do I check in the fuse box and which pins on the seat connectors should have power going to them

Right have sorted the rattling the b*****d subframe bolt that would tighten up snapped trying to get it out so had to drill the side of the chassis to get to the captive nut which had snapped too?so got to weld a plate back in now

Ok ile check them are they the ones on the cup that goes into the gbox plus have checked the nut in the hub the holds the drive shaft in the wheel bearing and that's tight

Not from side to side but front to back it does and it moves when twisting it a tiny bit

After trying to tackle the nut still can't get the bolt out but have discovered where the rattling is coming from.if I hold the passenger drive shaft it stops strange what could cause this

Thanks for the reply I was Gina cut the head of the in off then use a punch and push it up till I can see it come through the wax then put a new one in

On the left of the subframe there is a hole with 4 little holes round it.its the bolt that goes through it to secure it to the car.its defo not a bush it's like a gel in the chassis leg

Just looked and the bolt to get to has to be put in through the hole in the bottom arm.its not the back one if this help have had a look directly from the top of the engine gay and there is a rubber bung near enough directly over the top of it but done see no nut or thread just some yellow Likish silicon of some sort

What do you mean.the bolt goes up from under the car the the sub farm and fastens into the car chassis

Ye mate it's on the subframe but it's the bolt that's actually spinning.it goes through the subframe into the body of the car

Since having my vr I've noticed a bad rattling noise coming from the car so jacked it up yesterday to find that what looks to be the sub frame bolt has come loose on the sub farm passenger side and on tightening it just keeps spinning.could some one please shed some help or advice on this matter urgently please
