Any idea what the difference between Obd1 M/C and obd2 M/C is? -
Have a similar abs issue, hoping it isn't the same outcome as theirs haha

His guys. I have a 312mm front and 256mm rear set up on my obd1 vr. Should I contemplate changing the original master cylinder for something more powerful or woukd it not be needed? Cheers

Haven't heard a bad thing about tignes yet so looking forward to it. What's the best way to get to val disere from tignes? Would have been worth going to just see that haha! One of the local uni ski trips head off to tignes the same time as we are planning on going, so nightlife should be real good hopefully! Got any ideas where you heading to next?

Nice one. Just checked crystal ski out and they are a little cheaper. £600 all in isn't bad. Transfer on a coach is a pain but nothing I ain't use too! Looking to head to tignes for the first time in January. Would also like try a festival like snowbombing or snowboxx. Eiher sound quality!

For all you Snowboarders/skiers out there. Have you ever used igluski.com? Or where do you guys go to book trips abroad? Pretty much have one planned but thought I'd see how others go about it!

I like the idea of the led strip lights. Would it be easy enough to hook up to a car battery? One lead to negative one to positive? Electricity scares me

I have a led floodlight which is pretty good. But it gets very dark in the garage after around 7 so would like if I could illuminate the whole thing!

After many weeks/months of neglecting the project, I've decided to pull my finger out Unfortunately my lock up doesn't have power so I need some form of portable light set up. Using a generator isn't an option due to not having one and will be a bit loud as it's in a residential area. Has anyone got any suggestions on how to get some decent lighting, running of a battery or something similar? Cheers

Unsure on springs, but did you have any issue with valve guide clearances with the cams? Or did you just swap the cams over and it was good to go?

Ye your right. Just priced everything up except lifters and it's coming in significantly cheaper than it was within the UK. Even if I get raped on import taxes I should still make a big saving. Cheers for the advice

Looks good chippy. What sort of delivery time was there from ordering to door? Unsure what I really want to replace. I know stems and chains will be done. But do I go as far as guides valves and springs? Won't be big power, possibly some cams but staying N/A..

Bumping this as I'm away to starting sourcing parts for my rebuild. So.. 1. Best place to buy? 2. What will I need? Will the valves/springs be alright? 3. Piston rings? 4. Which headgasket? 5. Timing chain/ tensioner?? What have people done before when rebuilding the top end.. Info appreciated:)

Thought it got ditched. On my new obd2 loom, there isn't an earth block. Just those two smaller earth that sit up near the throttle body.. Guessing this could be an issue? The block from the obd1 loom seems to be plugged direct into the twist multi plug

Done the engine loom today, went pretty easy, few near misses with the inlet manifold nuts but all went well. The only issue I have is that on the new loom, this 'block' wasn't there. It sits under the lower intake beside alternator. Any ideas? Also these two earth, what's the best place for them? And on the obd2 manifold the isv block thing isn't there, am I correct? Cheers

Wow. Cheers for that. So as long as I have the chain cover that matches the bolt I should be okay, I.E pre or post 97 part numbers? Unsure on part Humber for the new cover as it hasn't arrived yet. Will be clearer when it does

They probably didn't. But as I'm going dizzy you coilpack I've changed mine. I've just seen bolts described as 'old style' and 'new style' so just assumed they swapped from obd1 to obd2. Part numbers might clear something up, cheers mate:)

And the old style bolt will work with the obd2/coilpack chain cover with no issues?
