  2. Yep, thats not the point of his work though, the point is to give people that dont know the opportunity to arm themselves with an idea of the problem and the approximate cost prior to the work being carried out

  6. Fellas, was on the hunt for a man with a van who basically could do mobile diagnostics. Found a guy in the nottingham area who basically owns fully licensed VCDS and also another fault code reader and diagnostic machine. He works locally but will travel and came out to me to run a health check on the vr6 yesterday.....£20 flat rate plus anything else for any adaptations etc... Too my mind his business is ideal as he will come to you to read and diagnose codes, run live tests, perform any adaptations on VAG and also diagnose on non VAG. He pitches his business at people who dont know how to
  7. Will more than likely be the ecu mate, the ecu can be changed by itself if it matches the pump. Youll need to check the part numbers on the ecu which will need removing to do so, but its fairly easy to do.
  8. What problems are you having? more than likely to be the ecu mate not the pump but....
  9. As she stands now Bit of a clean up today, 1 layer of poorboys black hole glaze followed by a layer of poorboys nattys blue paste wax. Love poorboys stuff. Tiny engine bay dress up with Autoglym bumper shine and a couple of passes on the manifold with the britemax twins again. Happy with that now. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  10. Did a bit more interior stuff today, carpet washed the floor with my bissell cleaner to decent effect, plenty of crap came out anyway which is a good sign. Then decided to attack the mulberry leathers. I had a pot of furniture clinic leather treatment in black so I thought give it a whirl....now you can get this in mulberry but the black worked amazing to slightly darken the mulberry into a new looking finish....good result I think. Just go steady with the quantity of black and this is the result Bit of a 50/50 Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  11. Charged me £110 including fuel. Took around 2 hours due to the amount of seal still left on the arches, bucket loads.
  12. lips now rolled....mot passed so good to go. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
  13. Excellent job completed, no cracks and looks very factory done. Good agent and nice bloke. Recommended. Anyone that needs it doing north of derby should try this guy. Adam is his name
  14. Got one of the guys here soon to roll the lip on the rears of the vr. Hopefully it's a good agent.....thinking of also signing up to the franchise once if had a chat with him seeing as there's no one north of derby really. Will post some feedback.......
  15. Quality seller, got a rare abs pump and ecu from him, promptly delivered and works perfectly Good guy and seller, recommended to get more stuff from his for sale thread cheers james
  16. Guys, ive just got hold of some of this..http://www.amazon.co.uk/Eco-Touch-Waterless-Car-Wash/dp/B007063EQO/ref=pd_sim_sbs_auto_1?ie=UTF8&refRID=1YVRQXCRY77TPW72VD0G Absolutly excellent product, 4 squirts on the microfibre and it cleaned the vr6 from 2 days of standing uncovered to the quality shine it has had since i machined it a while ago. It inflicted no swirl marks as i tested with a sun gun after. For a tenner it will last ages as the squirt mechanism is really good and wastes nothing. Microfibres are good quality aswell. Just for info really if anyone leaves their car not caked
  17. The part numbers on mine at the minute do they need to be the same as a replacement pump and ecu or can you replace with different.......as in the pump and ecu together off a different car to mine, or have the part numbers got to be exactly the same? thanks
  18. Cleaned removed and refitting plugs, no change and still throwing random codes. Im thinking the ecu is dead as per 1000 more ive seen. Ive removed the ecu from the pump and its the part number that ends in an E, which turns out to be like rocking horse poop! so part number is 3A0907379E Any advice on further procedings as im finding it hard to find a replacement ecu.....
  19. Is this due to corrosion on the connectors making the unit think there is an issue?
  20. Sure will, sign up to free trial of amazon prime and youll have it tomorrow aswell, for free......
  21. cheers, thrown 2 abs codes today 00285-035.....ABS wheel speed sensor front right 01276-016 ABS hydraulic pump signal outside tolerance Pump shagged? was thinking to check the connections and the green 30a fuses first
