  1. £1500 would be my max and I'd want to be sure it was only surface and not rot. Don't take anyone's word for it pal. Get it on a ramp and check it yourself if your spending money. [emoji106]
  2. Welcome to the club Liam. Get some picture posted up of your motor mate. [emoji106]

    Hi :-)

Your cc or the misses cc? Haha. It seems you might of had the cc taken off your hands and need to get it sorted for her. No rest for the wicked pal. Haha. Oh welcome to the club Clare. You go easy on that boy won't you. Haha [emoji106]
  4. Hey welcome to the club mate. Get some pictures posted up of your pride and joy. [emoji106]
  5. Well that's good news as we are always looking for US parts in the uk if your prepared to ship oversea's. The buyer will always cover the cost of the shipping plus your asking price for the parts you want to sell. We have a classified page here on the forum and its free to advertise. I certainly would be interested in a few bits. [emoji106]
  6. Very nice. I see another Mk3 in the background there. Haha. Is it a van? Is that yours too? Nice collection. [emoji106]
  7. Nice. I'm walkden myself. Never noticed any VR's knocking about. Always on the look out too. Haha. What part of walkden pal?

  13. It was pretty good dale for there 1st show. The rain stayed off and there was plenty there. Abit bogged down on the way in but overall it was a good day. [emoji106]
  14. Thought they might come to you with you speaking to them.

  16. I've owned my mk3 highline for just over 3 years now and it wasn't bought out of choice. I placed an add on another site for a Mk3 GTI 16v and a young chap messaged to ask if I was interested in a VR6. First thought was the fuel bill and I weren't interested to be fair but the chap insisted on sending me some pics. Totally standard and with only 43k on the clock and with full documented history I decided to take a look down in Birmingham. The car was first owned by BP Oil and given to the elderly chap I bought it from when he retired. The guy I had been dealing with was the son of the old chap
  17. Welcome to the club mate. I see your from M28 pal. Walkden?

  19. Found them. Haha. I guess this is the kit which includes the adaptor for the handbrake caliper too.
  20. Looking forward to seeing this conversion done. I've been looking at these kits myself but only see it for the MK4 or are they the same dude? Can you shed any light on this mate? Cheers
  21. 15 places pal and 10 on the list. Possibly 2 of them might duck so a potential 7 places to fill.

  23. Hi and welcome mate. If you speak to... @hvr6 or @Caddyslammed These guys might well have one for sale if its not gone.
  24. Exactly my quote if you read properly. By money pit I mean you will never get back what you put into it when you sell. So keep and enjoy the fun. [emoji106]
  25. The car is worth more to you than anyone else. Your bills will be cut in half if you do the work yourself. Everything you've mentioned is DIY work and with the help of our members on here you will get by. What you need to realise is.... A VR6 is a money pit. Haha. You can never spend enough money on them but they are a car that will put a smile on your face. A big smile. A start would be to find some dry storage whilst you make your decision. Another good start would be to research every job needed and the tools to do that job and firstly check out the extent of any rust because bodywork isn't
