Don't know about the MK3 motor, but my guess is no. There are 2 different motors in the C early and late and they don't interchange. That said, the whole mech will swap over but the plug will not then fit the opposite motor. You would be best on the Corrado forum trying to find a breaker with one

Engine is out now as well to save me getting bored. Going to bust out the Jet wash and Jizer and then follow it up with a tin of high temp black and some new mounts me thinks

Earwig, how do you operate your filler cap? are you still using the vac system? I'm looking at using an electric solenoid from a boot pull kit as the C only used the vac to lock the flap not to unlock.

Nice work!! Progress this week, all the rot has now been dealt with, It would appear that the old girl has had a hard life before i got my hands on her! All the glass is out, One rear arch has now been flared and the boys know how to progress with the rest so its now all go on that front. TT filler is in, I understand my name is now dirt in the shop for making the guys do this but im really impressed with the results so far. The back end has now all been straightened out, smoothed out the rear badge and seams and fixed up the shocking previous repair work like the rear quater that had be

The guys are going to weld strips in the roof gutters to avoid the cracking issues. As for the TT filler, matter of opinion. I do understand where your coming from with it being modern looking, but I like it. All depends if the body shop feel it can be done right
-
Its going to be in for a bit. The guys spent the first 2 days finding holes!! Rear arches were rotting, rear end shunt, odd spots about all windows and shuts all being done, Roof channels being filled TT filler Lockless passat handles Wing Vent (so 1990) Pulling and rolling all round de seamed the back end No VW badge at the back Scratching in the bonnet to be removed new door to spray and fit

The Corrado finally went to the body shop Monday (Beautiful Bodies (Kent)) 3 Days in and the back end is looking almost ready. Next on the hit list start pulling and rolling the arches and cutting in the TT filler. Has anyone ever fitted a TT filler? any words of advice or caution? The body shop are a little concerned about it

Finally got the springs on Saturday morning. UPS manager went to all the depots that they had apparently passed through only to find them very close to where they started. They were returned to PSI Friday and we received them Saturday morning. The delivery guy (UPS) was the bloke who was supposed to deliver them Monday! he told us they were not on his van on the Monday! Now I can start trying to get some compensation. The TT is still off the road as the first the car can get back into the MOT center is Thursday Still fuming
-
By the way, i dont blame PSI for this. UPS is at fault. im just fuming because i have been lied to and had 2 days of my life wasted, incurred more cost and dont feel im getting the support I should be getting because of this

Rant of the day. Ordered some coil overs for the other half's TT on Thursday as her car had failed its MOT on a snapped spring. Adrian at PSI was very very helpful calling back after hours and making the required arrangements to get hold of a kit and get it out to us on Monday. Sunday, got the car on the ramp and stripped the old suspension off I took some time off (2 days - allowing a day for delivery and a day to fit) I got up Monday morning and got on with waiting... This is where it all goes tits up no sign by lunch time so we called PSI to get a tracking number and according

At the moment, stripping out the coolant hoses that have not been touched for over 20 years. Broken countless cable clips and retainers, had to strip out the air box, upper and lower inlet manifold, broken the crack pipe, ripped hands and arms to bits and swallowed about 5 pints of rusty coolant. Still should be worth it when i box them off to Forge
