  1. Things are moving really slow at the bodyshop. They have welded the sprinter vent to the wing though which is starting to look good...
  2. So I was reading the forums for a couple of weeks about people doing the 312mm disc upgrade with S3 TT etc calipers and carriers. I picked up some calipers and carriers that had just been refurbished with new seals etc. The only thing now is I put a caliper side by side next to the orginal caliper and they both look exactly the same size?? Why is that? Is it the inside of the S3 caliper is deeper that allows you to fit the 312mm disc? These are the ones I bought...
  3. So here is the car today 14/6/14. Shes at the bodyshop they have had her for a week but have been too busy to do much to it yet. List of work that will be carried out: Vento headlights fitted may have them slightly tinted aswell Vento debadged grill sprayed & fitted Vento bonnet sprayed. Will also have the washer jets removed and the holes filled Eyebrow sprayed & fitted Mercedes sprinter wing vent cut and out and welded to my wing Rear bumper and spoiler sprayed 2x new front bumpers being sprayed. One of them will have the original lights taken out and a daytime running light with
  4. The next thing I did was get a custom powerflow exhaust fitted. Which included a de-cat...
  5. Cheers mate that's the size I was originally going to go with aswell but had the 45's laying around so thought I would try them out. Once the car is out of the bodyshop first thing on the list is new tyres!
  6. I'm not liking the 215/45/17 tyres they look to chunky and the rear ones have been completely ruined from scraping against the arches. Only drove the car for around 20miles and the rear tyres are good to get thrown in the bin now!!
  7. Had some 215/45/17 Federal tyres laying around from a few years ago so decided to get them put on to see how it looked. Had to use 10mm spacers on the front and rear otherwise on the front the wheels were rubbing against the calipers and on the rear they were rubbing against the coilovers.
  8. Then a few days later my wheels arrived. Calibre vintage 17x8 fronts and 17x9 rear with ET35...
  9. Next on the list was a set of coilovers. After reading many reviews on here and other sites I opted for the AP coilovers which I bought online from Demon Tweeks.
  10. The other thing I got one of my mates to do was take out the leather seats from my 5 door and to fit them into the 3 door as it only had the standard cloth interior. He also managed to take out the wiring loom for the heated seats and re-wire it into the 3 door...
  11. One of the first few things I did was swap over the wheels from my 5 door so that it looked abit different to an oem vr6 while I chose the actual wheels I was going to go with....
  12. Ok ok time to cut out the crap. This build thread is not actually for my 5 door vr6. Its actually for my 3 door which I recently bought a few weeks ago! She has only covered 57k miles and has had more services than you could ever imagine! Completely rust free and will be the perfect car to work my magic on. Here she is my 3rd vr6.....
  13. Hi all my name is ibs and I have owned my second vr6 for 4 years now although shes been sat in a garage for the last 3 years rotting away! This was because of some idiot who crashed into me and decided to do a runner and me not having the time to get it sorted at the time. I bought her already fitted with koni coilovers and a supersprint backbox. The only thing I did was put the b5 rs4 style wheels on it which I had laying around and had the windows tinted. Here is a pic of her...
