A few more updates on what's been going on with the car. My mate has done all this for me so all credit goes to him. I just don't have the time to do anything myself at the moment. Boot build for the air ride is coming together. Been waiting for some more cloth to turn up so he can retrim the top of the boot build to tie in with the rest of the car. WHO'S RUNNING BREMBO'S ON THERE MK3??

Get a nice set of discs and pads to go with the calipers and the brakes will be absolutely awesome. I've got ebc ultimate discs and ferrodo ds2500 pads and they have saved me many times 😉 Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk -
WHO'S RUNNING BREMBO'S ON THERE MK3??

They will look like that. The kit from ML racing will have the bolt that screws into the caliper and 1 side of the long hose in their pic is a open ring which slots on the bolt before you screw into the caliper. So that makes it a 90 degree angle. The other end of the hose is the same as in ur pic above. The short hoses are for the rear calipers on a Cupra but they are no use to us on mk3's as ours have different ends I'm pretty sure. Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk -

Hi cabbs I'm not running Hel lines. I ordered a set for the Leon Cupra R from Matt Lewis racing on ebay. Item number 401042113359. I remember the bolts that screw in to the caliper were not the right ones for some reason so they sent me out 2 fine pitch bolts separately. I would measure mine for you but I'm away for 2 weeks and the car is round my mates. Sent from my SM-N920C using Tapatalk -
Putting it up for sale mate.

Last month or so has been hectic with car stuff and other life stuff. Got a trip to Worthersee planned again this year and trying to get the car ready for it. It's still in winter mode but another set of wheels have been bought and being refurbished at the moment. Also got a smoothed rear boot lid and a standard bumper off ebay. They are being painted at the moment. The biggest purchase last month was the mk3 8v gti I picked up: It's got an air ride system on it which I got a mate to take off and fit on to my car. We got it finished over the weekend but I didn't remember to take any

Awesome! Good luck with your build mate

Sorry for the late reply. Not been on here much. The cams were just over £400 delivered if I remember rightly.

Worthersee booked! Will be there from the 26th April to 1st May. Going down in a 5 car convoy.

Sorry for the late reply. I haven't been on here in a while. Got a bit disheartened after that day. The car is back now. I collected it the second week of January. Vince has turned it into a monster. Its pushing 355hp!! It was mapped without the methanol though as my kit stopped working for some reason. I've got a few more bits to do and then will probably take it back for another tune up. I need a bigger intercooler, relocate my air filter in to the wheel arch as the MAF is to close to the turbo and I have no more room to move it away further unless I move the air filter into the wh

Well my day at stealth didn't go as planned. Vince tried mapping it but I'm getting a misfire under boost around 4500rpm. Plugs were changed that morning, we also tried a new set of leads and another coil pack which didn't cure the issue. Car is staying there until the new year. Vince is going to have a look at the timing as he reckons that's the next thing to check. Quick vid of it on the rollers... https://vimeo.com/149904228

It's been a while since I did any updates on the car. Not much has been going on. It's going up to Stealth tomorrow to get mapped. Exactly a year later than it was supposed to because of the issues I had. Feeling very excited right now.

I've just had H&R anti roll bars and power flex bushes fitted front and rear. Not been able to test the car out since having them done yet though so not sure exactly what they are like.

Thanks for the replies guys. I was looking at buying the car and wanted to get an idea on the turbo rebuild cost. Looks like someone else has bought it now. Time for me to concentrate on getting my one finished.

Hi does anyone know what I should expect to pay to get a Precision turbo 6176s rebuilt? There is play in the fan and it catches the housing under high boost. Also could anyone recommend a place to do it. Thanks

Fuel spraying out from exhaust manifold

Hi Jay, I took the injectors out last night so I can't try and start it and take pics. I'm going to get the injectors cleaned and tested and see how I get on after that. -
