Hi guys,

I'm exited to be here really. I Bought myself a nice clean MKIII VR6 but it's also in the need of some maintenance;

Valve cover gasket, 
Sump gasket, 
Sump plug, 
Diagnose cruise control, 
Handbrake light is always on, 
Clutch pedal is squeaky, 
Brake fluid flush
Minor rust damage on the bottom of the door jam.

I'm an apprentice mechanic working for a small business who are specialists in the German side of cars. I'm willing to put some time into my project and I have seen some decent posts on here which I'm sure will help with my journey. My name is Andrew and i jus got my 1st vr6 and i fuckin love it..previous cars were mk5 jetta 2.5, audi a4 b5 1.8t, mk3 golf jetta front 2.0 and mk4 gti 1.8t. Lets jus say this mk3 is my utmost favorite. I cant wait to start wrenchin..

Here is Leo when I first brought him!
One of the first things I did was completely strip and clean his interior.
I then stripped his wheels to brighten him up abit!
Then came Air I brought my air suspension from my friend off of his Corrado
Then Leo was off the road
His engine was then removed
and then we found the gearbox problem! Very broken 3rd gear!!

here is the painted engine and new painted gearbox
the engine is back in now but nowhere near road ready! So the engine is coming out again and we will get the body ready for a re spray, build a rollcage and shave the engine bay! If you have any images or advise for me when shaving your vr6 bay please contact me!!

Am thinking about it - illness has meant I can't open a ketchup bottle at the moment let alone pimp slap a 22mm bolt off so looking into home work at the mo and the foreseeable future!
I have brown hair, brown eyes, 36 years old, I LOVE to go out dancing..... and when I say go out dancing I mean drink heavily and watch the footy and rugby whilst desperately trying to hold on to my youth and typing up some random non-sense to people I have never met over the t'interweb for their amusement, whilst actually being glad I don't have to go home to look after the kids - like some of my former public house frequenting homies - so I can once again pass out with a can in my hand and wonder whether or not I pee'd myself with the dribble of what smells like beer on my lap - as the blurry vision reveals a nicely balanced beer can on all 8 of my plug sockets that must've sneakily leapt out my hand onto them when I wake up at 4am and reach for a fresh can and the VR6OC home button, all whilst being glad I didn't get arrested and have you lot to turn to!
That last bit was me sucking up in an interview by the way, I in no way tend to feel like a fresh can at that time nor can physically see my keyboard and am far too boring to get arrested nowadays as much as I try ........... you can add honesty to my c.v. too, plus, I can turn a tale that keeps you reading through a thread until at least here!
Boring stuff is; I am an autodidact apart from college level Business and Applied Sciences education, started building Golf's 28 years ago pretty much, have spent the past 5 years teaching myself Bosch tuning, have done, to various degree's, thousands of cfd tests, taught myself welding, taught myself how to paint a car, manufacturing techniques, CAD ....pretty much everything and am half okay at pimping myself out in an interview via a shameless public plug in a somewhat jovial context!
Sounds like an ideal moderator if you ask me! Plus, do I get to meet lot's of girl-racer hotties too?

I got mine from http://www.turbodynamics.co.uk, I think it was £1050 for the turbo with next day delivery 

Ill be sure to once I start up in spring, first I gotta pick up my new body, dont have any good pics of it, but its a red gti with euro rear bumper, and 20th side skirts and front lip, and a very clean interior

Hello everyone, im glad to have joines the vr6oc and im looking forward to receiving all my paperwork. Come this summer i will be starting a long process build on my Mk4 12v VR. Its going to be mostly a huge refresh at first, but Im going to work on the head a bit, then the block and various other parts as time goes by. So that being said im always open to recommendations or tips!
