  1. Thanks for the advice. Am I right in thinking that an obd2 engine loom will plug and play with my 97 cab chassis loom? Do you have any links to a cab vr6 conversion thread that are fairly detailed? I've had a look through some of the threads on here but I'm still lacking some information.
  2. Morning all, apologies if this is posted in the wrong section, I'm a newbie to this forum! I'm the members rides section I have started a project thread to put a vr6 into my mk3 cab for the banger run next year. I know a lot about French cars but much less so about German! I would like some advice as to which vr6 engine to put in my cab. Do they drop in on the existing mounts? Do the engine and chassis loom plug and play? Has anyone got an engine they would like to sell to me? I am also looking to upgrade the brakes and suspension. I'm guessing coilovers are the best option for the car. I am
  3. This is a fantastic project! I'm a bit of a mk1 Clio nut myself. I have a white mk1 track car stripped with a willy lump in it and that is fun. I can't wait to see yours in person! The handling must be interesting! Your build quality is top notch too!
  4. Hi all and welcome to my project thread. A little background first, In the early hours of this morning I got back from the 2014 Banger Run (www.bangerrun.com). It's essentially the gumball rally but has to be done in a car that was bought for less than £250. It's all in aid of Help for Heroes and the primary function is raising as much money as possible. The banger my housemate and I chose was a 1.8 golf mk3 convertible. We named him Barry and here he is on the Stelvio pass on Tuesday. Barry did us proud and covered nearly 2500 miles in 5 days through 7 countries and over at least half a doz
