    Is there a uk supplier out there ?or is it all from america or second hand units (if you can find them). Seems like a quicker install than a turbo.

    Not 100% but sure its 2.75 inch, it was a while ago i did mine. Ive had mine on a dyno which was after i had done the pipe. I got 200 bhp out of mine which is not bad for a 14year old car and 125 thou on the clock. So considering that i wouldnt say it has any effect on the power output of the car.

    I removed the silencer out of mine and just welded in some exhaust pipe instead. You will defo notice a difference in the exhaust note, the vr noise is awsome. I wouldnt of said the performance changed but the noise is sweet.

    Expensive! And while your there you may aswell change clutch/flywheel. I rang vw for a time on the job and they said 27 hours labour, think they do it with engine out. There labour rate was around 100 pound per hour also n then parts on top. I did mine myself in 19 hohrs without taking engine out, using genuine parts and changing my flywheel and clutch i spent arout 600 pound just on parts and my friend got my discount on parts as he works at audi.

    Without looking too far into it, is it not something as simple as couple coils breaking down, my 2.8 was fine on idle and only missfired between 2-4 grand and was intermittent. No faults came up either. If u can borrow set of coils must be worth a go

    Just trying to compare as i got told my cars showing its ticking over to low. any pictures or indications from you guys of yours would help. Mine looks like around 500/600

    Well managed to get my car back on the dyno today thanks to ade tuning, same dyno as my last run. happy to say i got 200 hp out of her, which for a 14 year old car with 125 thou on the clock isnt bad only 4 hp less than the book says. so completed my goal for this year.

    Im sure there is something you can make up. Still not had the car on the dyno, wont be tooo long now. still running sweet as a nut.

    Ah right think ill have to do a bit of research. Are you doing the work yourself? If so youll have upload a build thread, be good to see. Bet there a bit of work involved there..

    I wouldnt mind having a supercharger on there i just dont have the time to do it and i like to do all the work myself on my car. Would probably have to send my car away for a week to someone. I could use my bike for work then just for a week or so.

    Yeah will have to carnt wait to see the results. Ill post them up when i have them. Maybe a couple week till i can get it in nut will be worth it. See what other things i can do to her now

    Well guys fitted my new timing chain this weekend. Runs like a dream give her a test run to unphased 15 she runs better than ever. Not a small job but well worth it. Fitted new dmf and clutch aswell and even painted my gearbox/transferbox while they where off.

    Haha you do feel better about it after a good wash. My mk3 bit rusty, i have new sills and arches ready to be welded on. Then will be mint. Think i may have sell her soon though

    Cheers guys, ill have a check of the maf sensor. Yea i got the whole kit, my mate works for audi so managed get everything genuine from the guides to the seals. Dont want to do this job again so just going genuine parts. On other issues my steering rack failed last night . So early start this morning sorting a rack. Managed to get this on give her a wash n buff up. Heading to all types in couple hours, should be a good show.

    I dont think i have time to start searching now for cams anyway, ive booked her in on the dyno aswell after ive done my chain, so will see if its made any difference. That sounds good you having couple days in garage setting all that up then. Be awsome when you have got it on

    Well my timing chains,guides etc turned up today. Not long before the big job now. Just need to get hold of timing tool. And wish i couldfind some high lift cams beforehand too but struggling.

    Hey been ofline for a while, i carried on using my car daily, about 2 weeks ago my engine managment light came on, same fault code and few more, when erased you can here the engine tone change. Im thinking my timing chain may of stretched over time.so i have ordered both chains,new guides tensioners and rear main oil seal etc, going to tackle this on a bank holiday weekend when i have somespare time. May have quick look into camshaft upgrades and clutches/flywheels aswell. Big job brake out
