  1. Ye i get they are rare as, but i posted a wanted on a skate page and ended up with one of the rarest skate decks around two years later. So ye, ill wait cause someone will have..
  2. I think those were for the instrument - the blue one for sure.. If you still have the mk3 it came out of you can check
  3. Anyone selling or know someone who is, im looking for a Synchro conversion kit for my 96 mk3 vr6 Golf.
  4. Hi, the obd1 is different to obd2. youll have to remove the dash (makes it heaps easy) - remove the brake booster (to pull the loom through the firewall), take photos of the fuse box and then start unplugging. So you need the: 1.Fuse box 2.Complete loom 3.Depending on cluster with mfi - that white loom to. 4.Ecu as well. You will need to get a new brake booster retaing clip (white washing peg looking thing, ebay).
  5. You could measure the total size of the lobe - top to bottom and compare to stock.
  6. 276 is the profile of the lobe. You need to contact shrick and ask if its a high lift cam. Turning the motor over to see if you can hear or feel the valves touching isnt a good idea, when they touch they bend. Even a soft touch.

    VR6 OBD2 Loom

Ye 95 was the change. Im not exactly sure why it will burn out the coil but it happened to me, I used a 94 in my 96. I finally found a 96 loom in Sydney Australia - Cambden GTI.

    VR6 OBD2 Loom

The loom changed between 95 amd 96. They are different and will not start the motor if you get it wrong. It will also fry the coil pack. Parts listings will not show any changes.
  9. Slave cylinder might be stuffed. The new pressure plate has more pressure than the old one and the slave might have been wearing out and now the new pressure plate is exposing the slaves wear.
  10. I got one off ebay, bad quality and it even had weld blobs fall out of it when i went to fit it. Could have cost me a fully built motor. Had a custom one built, instant 10kw pwr increase.
  11. I got one, works well but when your racing you got to get to that cluch a little quicker to shift or else your grinding gears !
  12. Check the wiring that attach to the top of the cylinder head (timing chain cover) on the gearbox side. Its a size 10 nut that goes through the eye terminals of the wires.
  13. Hey guys, new to this site. Im looking for a pair of rear quarter window seals for my 3door mk3 golf. Any ideas were to get em from ? Thanks in advance.
