  1. Before After The sump is the lowest point on these so might have to raise the front up a bit more. Or find a sump guard. Also the tyres catch like mad. So need go find some rims so I can put the narrower tyres on.
  2. Coilovers on today Get some better pics later
  3. Hopefully Coilovers Led's Gear gaiter And sub fitted on Saturday.
  4. A lot of that list I have which just needs fitting. Hopefully most will be done in a few months. Once I get time.
  5. I thought I'd do a to do list so here goes : Fit coilovers Sort some rims (maybe montreals for now) Golf vr6 splitter Fit the stainless 2.5" exhaust Full detail Get pass side fog working. Paint engine cover Led bulbs inside and no plate lights. Change headlights and brighter bulbs. Change steering wheel Change gear lever gaiter May concider putting leather seats in. Fit sub and upgrade door speakers.
  6. Cheers. Long way to go though to get it up to my standard
  7. Very amusing and great sound But the sound is very addictive lol I averaged 32 mpg too
  8. Wait till next week when I post a pic of it sitting low after the coilovers are on. Hopefully.
  9. Just done a 220 mile round trip this weekend, with and oil and filter change in the middle. And completely faultless what a machine. Even made a copper sat in a x5 smile as I accelerated at the side of him lol
  10. About the same just mainly the sills and arches. Also around the windscreen This vr I have has two little spots on the drivers side and that's it. My old b4 (the red one) all the arch lips and a small patch under the pedal box.
  11. Yeah I'm looking forward to getting it lowered can't wait now. I'll probably get it done next weekend. They certainly don't make cars like these anymore.
  12. Yeah will do if I go I'll know nearer the time. Did full weekend last year but didn't enjoy it so will probably just go on the Sunday.
  13. Drove from Halifax to Scarborough 100 miles faultless Pulled like a train the only thing that bugged me was its like its on stilts So next thing now is to fit the coilovers asap.
  14. Problem solved I got delivered a 2.8 tb which apparently has been ported. So fitted it which turn out to be a mare as one Allen key bolt has been rounded. So once fitted I took it out on a run and no hestitation at all. It's smooth right up the Rev range and holds its revs So I'm a very happy chappie lol Going for a two hour, 100 mile drive in the morning for a nice run. And then the same back on Sunday.
  15. Mine hasn't got a none return valve on I don't think
  16. Took the return pipe off and got some air out and the temp gauge went up to in between 80 and 90. So maybe it just needs to go for a good long run. After I sort the other problem out first though.
  17. I'm going to clamp the return pipe and pull it off the heater box at the bulk head. To try and force the air out.
  18. It's a new one that's been fitted by previous owner. And not been fill since fitting. Heater matrix needed fitting. When I put the heater matrix in it got filled and got upto temp. It's since its been running and has air in it.
  19. Yeah got a 2.8 obd1 tb coming so will fit that.
  20. I get luke warm air and the temp on the clocks is low which is why I think it has an air lock Cheers buddy.
  21. What's the best way to bleed air out of the vr with silicone hoses on. I have tryed parked on a steep hill and took the cap of while Revving gently My usual trick of jacking the passenger side up so the header tank is highest point with the cap off and Rev gently has worked. There's air in the heater matrix and is possibly air locked My next port of call is to take the return hose off the heater to get the air out that way ? Thanks. Any advice would be good
  22. Bit of an update. I took it for a 17 mile run. A few lights but mostly continuous 30 to 50 to 40 etc. I kept accelerating to get the temp up. And when I got home I took these pictures. Oil temp is good And to me the both cts could be at fault as there from Gsf not gen ones (I haven't bought them) The temp did go a bit higher but not much. Now if I press the throttle pedal a little it doesn't want to go. But if I press it down to the floor it'll hesitate then go like shit. Now I have fitted a heater matrix which still has some air in the matrix itself but the air coming out of the vents
