VR6CABBS Budget... I'm not sure to be honest. Heres the one I like.
-
That's the problem, I'm new to the scene, I know nothing on fixing cars, the most I think I can do is change a wheel (never tried it). I'm looking for one that has been looked after and I can just dive in and do what I want with no problems.

Bealieboy Thanks for the info. I was going for a subtle-ish look anyway, it's all part of learning I guess. I'm looking! I've found one VR6 I like and it was only posted yesterday on gumtree but the phone goes straight to voicemail.

Are you a father by any chance? Because that is dad joke worthy. Is there many stance fans on here?
-
When you first mentioned cabbs, I thought to myself, what is a cabbs? (I googled it). You guys seem to have summed it up, thank you.

Bealieboy Thanks for the video! Some Most of the cars are stunning, I'm so jealous. daveyboy Thank you for the info, I really appreciate that people here are willing to help new/learning people here, thank you.
-
daveyboy Oh wow nice. That looks really good. Is it much work or hard to do that? While we are looking at your car. What size alloys and tires are though? I've been looking at rims and what not and I'm struggling on what a nice size is, not too big or to small.

daveyboy I'm new to the car scene, stilling learning what is and what isn't uncle bens rice. Stance is the look I want to go for. Pretty much everything you just said makes no sense to me ahaha. So bumpers flushed? What? And after looking around in the gallery, looking at YouTube clips and pictures, I came to the conclusion the stock bumpers are nicer than I thought. Especially when the middle mesh is removed and it reveals the intercooler.
-
daveyboy Sean_Jaymo Hey, hey it could be worse, this is the only bumpers I could find that are nice compared to the others out there. Like this one, and don't forget the ones that Regula Tuning have made. If you have any suggestions please throw them my way!

Do you have any idea how I would relocate them? Is it possible to buy new headlights and hook those to the indicators?

Hello, So when/if I do buy the VR6 Golf Mk3, I want to get a new 'bodykit', front and rear bumpers along with side skirts. Now, I have found the bumpers but the skirts are no were to be seen. So this is the front bumper. This is the rear bumper. The skirts I can not find. One thing I noticed was that the website has named them as JE Design, where as the picture and other websites claim they are Rieger Racing. While I am here, on a stock Golf 3, what are the lights in the front bumper? I'm asking because the front bumper I provided above doesn't have them.
-
daveyboy I'll keep it considered.
-
Bealieboy I still think I'm going to buy one, it's finding one with my requirement and one that wont need much money to fix problems like rust and scratches. VR6CABBS That's a good idea! On the plus side, I guess the insurance on my Fiesta will build no claims.

cactusjackslade I tried Adrian Flux, they weren't very helpful to be honest.

daveyboy Thanks for the heads up. Do you have any examples of Specialist brokers?

Big J Thank you for the welcoming. That's crazy cheap for 19. I'm 18 in March but only passed my driving test in December, hopefully I will be able to get a decent insurance price when I am older. Bealieboy I've tried all the tricks but £4.6k is the cheapest I have found so far. I'm only looking to take it to events and meets, so I am considering having one of my parents as the driver and only add me for a week every so often because I believe that is somewhat cheap. My brother is 20 and was insured on my Dad's Audi A3 2014 for £40ish to drive it for a week.

VR6CABBS Thanks for the welcome and info. I think either way insure or no insure, I'm going to get one. I know nothing about mechanics or engineering but I want to stance a car. So I'd just keep this in my garage and learn off it.
-
VR6Pete Okay, I'll keep looking for a place to insure me ahah, I'm sure a company will do some sort of temp cover.
-
VR6Pete Thanks for the heads up on the membership. Do you know if the membership would save much money on insurance?

Hello, so I've been looking to buy a Golf Mk3 VR6 and want to get insurance on it for a small amount of miles a year. I'm looking to drive it at a maximum once a week. The lowest quote I have so far is £4.6k which is more than the car it's self. I'm 17, so hence the high quotes. I've even had companies say no. Please help!

Hello everyone. I currently drive a '14 Fiesta Zetec but I've recently started looking to buy a Golf III VR6 to have has a stance car stored in a garage. I am just passing through to ask a few questions on insurance, (Insurance companies don't like 17 year olds with a 2.8L engine). Thanks for the welcome.
