car wont start .. checked for spark using spare sparkplug but nothing.. from spark plug 2. used the multimeter, power going to the coil pack. then switched to ohms and low end is reading linking 1 to 2,3,4 but not 5 (not sure if this normal, im taking it as 5 being the earth?) then to check the pots, linking up each back at 200k i was getting 3.5 redaing through all 3 pairs. i will try another plug from a different bank tomorrow, all help is greatly appreciated!

Hi I've just bought my first VR6 as a "sensible" Auto while I get over a shoulder dislocation. She runs nicely and I really like her, smelt a bit hot after the run home in her ... Slightly worried! But I'm hoping that this will all be okay. Drivers window doesn't work.. Solenoid? And the battery light is on. She's had a recent alternator fitted and new belt.. Could this be causing the issue? I'm going to give the battery a trickle charge and see if that helps. Reg is P210YPM anyone on here had it before? Jay
