  1. Hi there, it wasn't a no. Sorry for not replying. I did read your msg, but then just forgot about it if truth be known (been busy with other stuff, and trying to get my car sorted). Yes I'll let it go at £80 posted, as the wife wants it out of the dinning room... Sorry again for not replying.
  2. As above, replace the oil pressure sensors and see how you go on. As for the oil cooler? That's to the right of the oil filter housing which is what your oil pressure switches are screwed into...
  3. Yes, as D1BBZ says, they're the oil pressure sensors, common problem on the MK3 VR6's and GTI's. Still available from VW and actually at sensible monies.
  4. Never had the need to strip mine back to basics, all I've ever done is pop the pistons out so far as to be able to give them a good clean using methylated spirits and very fine scotch brite on the pistons and then smear rubber grease round them and push them back in. I remember a few years ago now though having to replace the seals in the rear caliper on my GSXR 600 as it had seized up, thoroughly cleaned out the recess for the seals put in a light smear of rubber grease, and then carefully put the seals in, then light smear of rubber grease on the piston and used a G clamp to carefully push
  5. I thought exactly the same as you, very expensive and certainly for things you can't see. Thought long and hard about it, but after getting seriously p**sed off with bangs, clangs and crashes on the suspension driving on our sh*t British roads I thought it was time something was done. I did think for a very short while (about 3 seconds) about writing to my local council to ask them to fix the roads as after all I pay £230 a year road TAX......... Anyhoo, went a head and got front an rear poly bushed, and if truth be known the difference is outstanding, nice smooth ride with no clangs, bangs e
  6. You're welcome. Yes it'll be fine, just check the off set on your new wheels first otherwise your tyres will rub on your suspension...
  7. Hi, if it helps my 5 door VR6 is lowered 40mm/4 centimetres on coil overs and my rims are 8j 16 inch with 195/45/16 tyres on.
  8. Hi all, have for sale Brand New unused and still in box/packaging one Neuspeed induction Kit, comes complete with everything you need/require to install, including heat shield, instructions etc. I nice easy install with actual power gains of between 5/8 BHP. According to Neuspeed... To fit all MK3 Golf VR6's. (and Vento's) Paid £136 for it (From Awesome GTi) Asking £80 cash on collection, or £90 posted. Reason for sale, going a different route now with the car so no longer required. Thanks for looking.. Can't upload pictures as content is to big. For pictures of
  9. Just thought I'd give a reply to this as I was having bangs, clangs and crashes from the suspension nearly every time out on our perfect British roads (Not) So anyhoo after many months of contemplating I decided to get polybushed up along with H&R ARB's front and rear. Quite expensive for things you can't actually see? But boy do they make a difference, well worth the money with out a doubt as I no longer cringe just before I run over a pot hole (Can't avoid them all) as there's no noise, just a nice smooth ride all the time. Hope it helps?
