    Losing power

    mc71 posted a topic in Engine Tuning

    Got a problem atm,car runs fine idling,Everything seems spot on but when I use the throttle it's spluttering,losing power,I have to very gently depress accelerator. compression is good,new leads etc etc,any ideas?tia.

    Recently rebuilt my mk3 and put a vr6 in,put it in for mot and failed on power steering not working,I have probably spent an hour or five [emoji1] turning the wheel to get rid of air pockets as I'm sure this is what's at fault due to it being a complete strip down,I'm starting to wonder if it may be the rack,I have yet to get the alignment done and know this could be huge component of the problem but how much??,worth doing it pre mot to help it along?,any info advice would be great as I'm dying to take her out for a damn good drive thanks
